Well, contrary to public opinion and common f*cking sense, Tony and his mates along with Plod, who have obviously solved all the other crimes, have now decided to push through legislation that will mean you can get nicked for exceeding the speed limit on those empty, tumbleweed-strewn dual carriageways at 3am by 2mph.
2MPH!!! F*ck me. Is this REALLY going to save lives?
So, prepare to spend the rest of your driving days looking at either 1) Your speedo 2) Your RVM or 3) Every upcoming structure Plod can hide behind to radar you from. Obviously looking at the road ahead will no longer be important.
I'm just glad that crime in general has now been eliminated and that's it's been proven that sh!te driving by doddery no-hopers and smug aren't-I-brilliant-driving-at-15mph-under-the-speed-limit clowns isn't a contributory factor in any accident ever.:mad:

I think I'll change my name to Prince Andrew. Or Jack Straw's driver. Or the Chief Constable of Surrey. That's guaranteed to make you exempt.
What a load of rubbish! Around here, they've dropped the speed limits on 6 roads in the past couple of years, and I wouldn't say that any of them needed dropping. All that happens is that everyone flies along them at the old speed anyway. It's just an excuse to gain more money.
Also they've renamed the speed cameras to be called safety cameras... :rolleyes:
I actually wrote to Tony Blair proposing this new crackdown on the heinous crime of speeding, only the other week.
My idea was to legalise murder, rape, burglary, street crime and drug taking and instead focus on the far more important issue of speeding.
Already he has legalised the taking of drugs and I am glad steps are now being taken to turn public against these evil-devil speeders. Hopefuly we can expect long prison sentences for anyone doing 1mph over the limit (unless of course you drive a Corsa in a built up area, in which case we'll leave the speed up to your judgment because you are so skilled).
Long prison sentences will soon rid our country of the evil speeders (providing we manage to get the murderers and terrorists out of prison the make way for the evil speeders.
FFS, we have the safest roads in Europe, why do we need even more police time and resources wasted on speeding!!!!!!!
How many times do these people have to be told before they realise that it isn't speed that kills, but the inappropriate use of speed.
I'm glad I'm moving to France. More people may die on the roads here, but at least you can die whilst having fun.
speed kills eh Tony? nope fraid not. Careless driving kills, look at Germany and the autobahns.
Let's face it the British driving test isn't up to much either. Make it a bit harder for everyone with 2 braincells to rub together won't pass.
Retest every 5 years for everyone over 55 would make sense.
And of course the single way to reduce any kind of road accident

I've come to the conclusion that if Tony Blair or one of his mates wants to sh!t on your great grandmother's grave then requires you to eat it... the only advice I have for you is... get a spoon. Basically it appears they can do anything they want (eg splash out £40million on a new GLA building despite millions of poor living in this country) and you don't have a say in it. Oh yes you can vote but all you're doing is allowing another cvnt to have a laugh at you.
Reality sucks. BTW How can I become an MP? ;)

so i cant do 72 on a motorway but i can do 30mph round a blind corner in a built up area? because i wasnt speeding and its only speed that kills right?

On the positive side, instead of Shooting/cutting or strangling some one to kill them and serve serious time, you can just now get of your head on legal canibis and run the person over and get away with a £250 fine must be good news......... god help the next copper to step out in front of me to tell me to pull over thats what i say.
O yes and to become an MP you must be into serious deviant practices..............ie taking it up the sh***er whilst dressed as a balerina. Well i suppose its better than SH*****g Cherie Blair lol

she can't be that bad. i mean Tony's done her 4 times or so it would appear. And from what I hear it must be true cos one of their sons has resorted to alcohol.
PS how much to get a load of car stickers sorted with my sig? :D might make a cop give you a hard time if you do get pulled over and he sees the sticker tho!

What we need is a coordinated effort with everyone in the country.
We could have a national 'Reckless Drive to Work Day' ;
everyone drives like fuking lunatics and pays no attention to any traffic signals or the highway code. If we were to do this every other week then in a couple of months there would be a huge backlog of people awaiting points/court appearances. As long as no-one actually pays the fines or goes to court and goes out again and gets caught it would eventually grind the system to a halt.
I'll be right BEHIND anyone that organises this (a long way behind).

Oh, and the EU has decided you can't lengthen a prison sentence for violent behaviour........

Just a quik thought :
If police catch people speeding @ ludicrously small amounts above the speed limit and give them points on there license until there banned won't they
a) loose money from the road tax for year
b) loose their 99.999% (or similar) share of tax in petrol that the car driver would have been buying all year long.
c) completly fcuk up the economy with drivers living in areas with poor public transportaion (cough) unable to get to work who could then start claiming benifit.
yes on all counts there but you forget that MP's very seldom look at the complete picture
:eek: what about the tolerance of the speedo what if the speedos out by a few MPH like at the moment the plod must give leway of 10%+2mph above the limit or below if your a old women driver in a fiesta.... so ill loose the right to do 68mph on a d/c :eek: lets call for more bobbys on the beat then theyll loose there plod cars like were i live:D :D :D
I was with a mate last year and we were stopped at 1145pm and asked why we were doing 22mph in a village!!!:rolleyes:
I should take up burglary or something........:eek:
