View Full Version : Everyones gone to Billing
The rest of us have the place to ourselves.
Shoes off, watch crap on the telly, raid the fridge, make a mess, get some mates over for a few beers....
Slobbing about time :D ;)

Well I put my lazypants on this morning when I got up and decided I couldnt be arsed to wash my car or do the 2 hours drive. Must be old age or something.
Besides I've seen enough jap supercars to last me a lifetime. The only thing left to do is for me to drive them, but I suspect owners aren't readily handing over keys at billing ;)
-D
Well I must admit that it was a close call between staying here in the south of France in 30C heat and going to Billing.
NOT :D :D :D :D
JB - In sunny-Stoke as I speak it must be near 30 degrees C! :D ;) Wish I was in France tho!!

Hmmmmmmmmm. 30 degrees in Stoke or 30 degrees in Aix en Provence.
Looks like I'll be heading back to the Potteries then
Glad the weather ok for you Ant, Stoke could do with some brightening up :D :D :D
Well I spend yesterday drinking in a small cafe in Brugge (thats Belgium for those of you who are geographically challenged) drinking and watching the world go by in the blistering heat.
Waiter. Another beer over here please:D

yeh, but, its not all about the cars tho, theres also meeting the peeps, it was well worth the effort just to meet most of the reg posters on this forum. the cars were a treet to see but its the owners that made the day/weekend. shame indeed that the future of the show looks in doubt.
I agree 100% with Jibber, it was more about meeting the people from the BB than seeing Jap mega mobiles (or, from my perspective, selling stuff) :)
Jibber,
What do you mean that JAEs future maybe in doubt?

I think there should be more shows at drag strips. not just rwyb days but weekenders like USC and Bug Jam, real party atmosphere, drag racing, funfair, music tents, show'n'shine and 30,000 people in a field:D :D :D
bren, it's something to do with either one or all of the organisers stepping down, they put a call out on the tannoy for a rep from each of the attending clubs to go to a meeting on the z stand, dont know what the outcome was, but it would be a shame to lose the event. also heard that one of the clubs was going to try and arrange a nissan weekend at billing, 200sx,skyline,gtir etc etc, that may also prove interesting!!!!!
Ah, itd be a shame if it wasnt continued as its the only Jap show of any real size isnt it?
A Nissan show would go down well and theres no doubt that there would be enough Nissans to provide a very respectable turnout with 200s, 300s, GTiRs etc :)

We were talking to one of the organisers early on Sunday.
And it was at that point that Kash started donuting his Z on the grass. She said that they were pissed off because of this and of all the rubbish that they had to pick up Saturday night.
Would be a shame, since it would be the minority spoiling it for the majority.
They should just kick any trouble makers straight out. If they want to feck about then they should goto USC and not go to events held in a family holiday park and f@ck it up in the future for the rest of us

I'd agree with that 150%. We all had a great weekend and it would be a PITA if it doesn't go ahead next year. I've already sent an email to the organisers thanking them for their efforts, perhaps if enough people do likewise it might sway their opinion of whether or not to do it again.
