We are now stocking a rubber seal for the S13 sump. No more messy sealant :) £17.39.

Gates are the daddies, I remember the serious tuning guys in the Ford world going on about Gates cam belts when I was into Cossys and ERSTs :)

Do you do the piston rings 1mm oversize (CA18DET)?

Who makes those rubber gaskets? Do you use them on your engines? If so - do they leak? ie: is it best to use sealant?

We can do the rings 1mm oversize, theyre the same price :)

Payne makes the sump gasket. Ive only got one CA engine, its in the car, the sumps not leaking and Im not taking it off just to fit one of these new gaskets :no:

got a pic? im gonna need to take the sump off this new engine and put my rods in it - would like to use a rubber one for ease, but cant help thinking why nissan used liquid...

IMO you still need to use some dirko or similar instant sealant... I remember Kev using a rubber seal and having to pull his engine out and re-do it after gettin an oil leak around the rear crank seal area.

Looked through threads concerning Crank Bearings..got very confused very quickly. My crank has been passed to engineering firm to be checked, but the chap reckoned that he will be unable to regrind it if required as he wouldn't be able to get hold of oversized (undersized) bearings whether they be main or big end.. is this true.. Please help

Bren, what size oversize bearings are available?? so that I can tell my man if needs be..same with pistons too please mate..thanks

0.25 and 0.5mm bearings.

If youre after forged pistons then we only do them in 1mm o/s. If you want Nissan then they come in 0.5 and 1mm and maybe 0.25 as well, Im not sure on that as no one ever buys Nissan pistons :no:
