View Full Version : S13 and S14 metal subframe collars in stock. Pics
We are now stocking metal subframe collars. We have been testing these on our S14 drift car for a couple of months now and they simply do the job their supposed to do. The back end of the car is tighter and more direct but there is an increase in transmission noise and vibration. Dead easy to fit, cheap and effective. What more do you want ;)
£59 a set :)

What more do you want ;)
A set sending this way
I guess these are the next step up from pinapples? I'm looking to sort out the rear subframe soon but I will mainly use the car for fast road use so are these overkill?
I' ve got powerflex bushings will these collars fit with them?
As Bren said the noise has increased but the ride is no worse than it was :)
I don't know if they will fit with the powerflex bushes, sorry :(
Send me a set please Bren :)
As Bren said the noise has increased but the ride is no worse than it was :)
I don't know if they will fit with the powerflex bushes, sorry :(
I don't think there is a big difference between standard bushes and powerflex bushes in size and so, is there?
Vez I have put you down for some :)
They hold the subframe tighter than pinapples and I dont see why they wouldnt work with Powerflex bushes but we cant guarentee it Im afraid :(
The increase in nosie didnt bother me in the slightest as its not that bad but I cant say that it wont bother you. I would choose these over pinapples if it was my car though :)
can I use them with my tired std bushes or do I need to upgrade my bushes first?
Thanks
Edit: Is the £59 set all you need to do a complete rear sub-frame? or do you have to buy a pair?
Thanks
They hold the subframe solid so they should work with tired bushes with no problems. You get the full set :)
Any chance of a deal if I buy 3 sets Bren?
Thanks
What about bushes that are leaking goo everywhere Bren? If I can just throw these in and it'll be jobbed I'll be happy
Baba,
£150 for three sets :)
arry,
I believe so
thanks Bren - I think I'm one of the 3 Baba has organised for so I'll check with him. Troy and Revver might also be interested in these so I'll drop them a line :)
When you say "dead easy to fit" how "dead easy" do you mean?
I think the subframe bushes are a bit tired on my S14 so this may be an ideal solution if they are easy enough for me to fit :)
Theyre going to transmit some transmission noise, you do know that?
Theyre going to transmit some transmission noise, you do know that?
I did read that bit yes - how much is "some"?. Can I turn my stereo up a notch or two to compensate? Or will it sound like a growling dog with his testicles wedged in a bear trap sat in the rear seat just behind me? At the moment I'm getting clunks from the drive train/subframe so transmission noise sounds the lesser of the two evils.
Its not horendous but my view on whats acceptable may not be the same as yours so what I feel is ok might drive you up the wall.
The noise and vibration is minimal but it is there  :) It didnt bother me in the slightest but then I didnt have to use the car every day so my level of tolorence is very high. If I get annoyed I just get back in the Jag ;)
Now these are very interesting, you don't do solid metal subframe bushes by any chance?
Had solid metal rear beam bushes in my S12 which utterly transformed it.
So Can we do a group buy on these please Bren? Also as SM said how easy are they to install?
Thanks
they're a piece of piss to install. Jack the car up and support the diff/subframe - undo the nuts on the bottom of the subframe and slide on the bottom insert, slide the top insert on, do the nut back up - finished.
Mr C may well be up for these as well Baba, and I've asked Revver awaiting reply - there could be more than 3 of us
Ill do ten sets for £430 plus carriage but we are making very little at that price so you guys need to arrange it between yourselves with one person paying. We can send to seperate addresses but we cant keep ontop of a group buy from this end
would you need to remove them for an mot, im after a set but my mot's next month :(
Even if the group buy doesnt work out theres about 4-5 of us. I dont mind buying them at £50. What do you want to do Arry? I need them urgently coz of my welded diff chewing up my bushes.
Thanks

If your working out a group buy I'm up for it
Who wants to use their card and we all pay that person? Cant use mine coz it doesnt have enough funds :o
So theres 5 of us so far :)
Revver is definitely up for them.
That's:
Me
Baba
Pyro
Si1kw0rm
Revver
Mr C
All as definites. I can probably arrange a group buy this end but will need people to start paying ASAP as I cant lay out £430 all in one hit, not this time of the month anyway :smash: - I'll arrange another thread now save cluttering Bren's up.
I can transfer £43 to your bank account tonight Arry using online banking. I think everyone else should do the same so that you have the £430 before you have to pay Bren.
If you get ten defos then you can pay individually, I just cant take on another buy right now. Too much to do, not enough time
If you get ten defos then you can pay individually, I just cant take on another buy right now. Too much to do, not enough time
that's appreciated Bren, but save yourself the stress mate - I'll run it from this end. I'll start another thread and collect the names of the definites from there. I'll then pay you and email you a spreadsheet of the names and addresses to deliver to. Problem solved
Baba - yeah that's what we'll have to do I reckon  I'll get onto the other candidates now but we still need another 4!
That would be a great help :)
that's 7 already :D Cool :D
I better check stock........
We have six sets in stock, just ordering another batch now. Ill see how long theyll take.
ok mate. We can do it on a priority basis anyway, I'm happy to wait for a set whereas Baba will deffo need a set ASAP, so if we spread the first 6 around to those that need em urgently and we'll go from there.
I'm onto Nismo Mark now just to make doubly sure I'm allowed to run a group buy typey thing :D
Ive emailed the suppliers about another 20 sets, Ill let you know the eta when they reply :)
Can i have the set i ordered today for £43 please :)
We will cancel your order here, you will need to arrange payment, delivery etc with Arry as he is controlling the GB :)
OK then, i will do that.
arry, put me down on your list please. :)
PM'd ya back mate, you're on.
That's 8 - we need two more!!
Ask Matty I am sure he would be up for it. Maybe Mav would want some too?
I'll drop em a line

I might be interested.
But what colour are they? :p
they'll be roadfilm coloured by the end of the first week, what difference it make :wack::D You're in anyways ;)
Bren - we have our 10 now  I'm just waiting for Mark to come back to me and then I'm off collecting funds :)

Ok, for the idiot.. what exactly will these do to improve handling over the standard ones? Will it be beneficial for the average daily driver who likes a bit of a burn occasionally?
If I like the sound of the reply, count me in
It will stiffen up the rear slightly but dont expect miracles. Will make a noticeable difference but nothing monumental. Put it this way. Some day you will want these bushes but then they will be expensive. Buy them now while they are cheap ;)
Baba
I have already paid for another ten sets, theyll be on their way next week :)
Paradigm - when the standard bushes get old you kinda get a feeling that the back end becomes a little detatched from the rest of the car and it's a bit wandery. You also get a bit of a lag time from corrections in the weight shifting of the car ie you react to a tail slide and a moment later the car reacts too - rather than being more instant with a nice locked up subframe :)
Baba - Mark has agreed it. Moneys will start to be collected now
BREN - can you give me a price for postage of individual items out to buyers, I'd reckon on most people just wanting first class but if you can quote special delivery as well that'd be grand :)
Final list then is:
Baba
Arry
Lennie
Revver
Mr C
Matty2Fatty
Brad
Pyro
Silkworm
Ex-CTR
The kits weigh less than a kilo a piece. Shipping options are here :)
http://www.sxoc.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=175310
Arry can I pay using paypal into your account for me and Matty.
Bren will it be cheaper on postage if you post mine, Matty's, Choi's, and Si1kw0rm's to my address? Special delivery for 4 sets to the same address?
Thanks
make that 5 to your addy Baba. I dont want to get involved with paypal tbh. I'd rather just see you with the cash or an online bank transfer. I'm getting onto the other lads tomorrow.
Final list then is:
Baba - WILL SEE YOU WITH MATTY'S MONEY AS WELL
Arry - Umm, that's me :wack:
Lennie - IS SENDING ME A CHQ
Revver - I WILL SPEAK TO HIM TOMORROW AND SORT OUT
Mr C - WILL SPEAK TO HIM TOMORROW AND SORT OUT
Matty2Fatty - SEE BABA
Brad - WILL SPEAK TO HIM TOMORROW AND SORT OUT
Pyro - YOU HAVE PM
Silkworm - YOU HAVE PM
Ex-CTR - YOU HAVE PM
I'll sort out Mr C, Revver and Brad. Pyro, Silkworm and ex-ctr have PM. Lennie is already sorted, Baba and Matty will give me the money one way or another so we're on  Hoping to get the payment over to Bren for next week so if everyone could be prompt that'd be grand :)
Ill weigh the kits tommorrow to find out exactly how many we can send with Special Delivery :)

Ok might as well.. count me in. Arry will you accept paypal? PM me your e-mail and I'll transfer money right away :)
as arry is doing a great job of collecting the money but does not take paypal can i pay bren direct tomorrow as im after some other parts at the same time :)
Bren - take it youre ok with that bearing in mind CTR has other bits to buy? And can we make that 11 sets at that price so to include Paradigm?
OK mate in that case I will have to do a bank transfer. The money is already in my paypal account so it might take 5 working days for the funds to clear :(
right ladies, i'll take a set tooo :)
CTR can buy in once the payment for the ten sets has been transferred, otherwise the whole deal might collapse on itself. I cant do individual sets at the discounted rate until the bulk has been paid for, what happens if the other ten people pull out?
That also means Ill have to do the same thing for Lennie but again the parts wont be sent or charged for until the main buy has gone ahead.
Anyone who wants in needs to contact Arry as only people on the spreadsheet he sends me will get the collars at the discounted price. We are making very little at this price and I cant justify spending a lot of time keeping track of the details here based on the return
Arry,
Please just put a note on the sheet saying how the various parties are paying, either direct or through yourself. Once we have the main payment and the numbers then the orders coming direct will be processed :)
ok mate, thanks for that
OK mate in that case I will have to do a bank transfer. The money is already in my paypal account so it might take 5 working days for the funds to clear :(
that and the charges was exactly the reason I was trying to avoid paypal really. Bank transfer it to me, I've still got Lennie sending a chq and I've got to collect money from 2 people in person, so it's only going to be next week we get all the moneys collected.
Paradigm & Stidi - you two will have PM very shortly with details
That also means Ill have to do the same thing for Lennie but again the parts wont be sent or charged for until the main buy has gone ahead.
Im confused now, i have a cheque to send to arry or is bren going to bill me direct? Im not bothered either way whatever is easier is fine as long as i dont get charged twice :)
Let me know, i will keep hold of the cheque until this is decided. :)
Chq to me Lennie, including your chosen delivery option :)
We should be well up and rolling for payment by middle of next week
Cool, it will be posted at lunchtime. :)
£49.29 specheeelll :wack: delivery. :)
would you need to remove them for an mot
Was this question answered?
If they are okay for an MOT then I'll have a set and risk the noise increase
I'll be back online later to sort out the finer details :). Right now work beckons :(
I cant see why you would need to.
We had a guy come round whos original bushes had caused the car to fail and mot. He wanted to firm up the subframe but I didnt know if these would get the car through a ticket and told him so. He phoned his mot station whilst he was here and they told him that as long as the excessive play was removed then the car would pass the mot no problem.
Sign me up
Can be fitted with the suspension Aitch  just need a decent size lever :wack: I did my (poly) one just the other week, but on ramps, but I'm sure we'll manage.

When we do the suspension change I want to put these doodahs in and replace the tie rod bushes (which I bought a couple of months ago  ) at the same time and change my gearbox and diff oil - there is a lot of work long overdue on my car so we should perhaps make an SXOC day of it. That's for another thread though, so sorry to hijack.
Bren - I'll get in touch about buying these wotsit thingies on this thread
Right I think we've got enough folk buying now for me to physically keep track of as part of a group buy so I'm going to close the numbers down there. Anyone else that wants a set will have to go direct to Bren - sorry :(
Money is already finding it's way into my bank and there's just a couple more people to see. Hopefully we can get the order out by next week so that when Bren's fresh stock hits everyone gets sorted out with some collars
You havent given me your bank details Arry.
Cheers Arry ;) lets hope the money gets to you in time.
Bren - I've been in contact with arry so I'll sort the purchase out via him :)
Is this classed as a modification? If so I feel dirty :(
Guys and Mr Bren sir
I'm almost sorted on this. Moneys are flooding in now.
The confirmed list I have for the group buy are as follows - please let me know ASAP if you dont intend to go through with purchase:
Arry
Baba
Aitch
Beast1800
Brad
Mr C
Pyro
Stidi
Paradigm Shift
Lennie
Matty2Fatty
Silkworm
Ex-CTR
If there's anyone missing PLEASE LET ME KNOW ASAP.
Bren - I make that £516 plus delivery costs I owe you (see note on Ex-CTR).
Delivery;
My understanding is that we want Arry, Baba, Brad, Mr C, Stidi, Matty2Fatty and Silkworm's collars all sending to Baba's address via special delivery. Therefore can you give me a costing of 7 sets sent to East London by SD as soon as possible :)
Lennie has paid me, his collars are going to his address
Ex-CTR is calling you to pay direct, as he wants other bits along with his order
Beast1800 is yet to pay and will want his sending out separate
Paradigm Shift has paid and wants his sending out SD to home address
Aitch is sending chq and wants sending to home address SD
Pyro - I'm waiting for confirmation whether paid or not, and will want sending to home SD
So that's 4 special deliveries (excludes Ex-CTR who'll pay you with the other bits)- meaning another £25.16 on top of the group postage to Baba's - if you let me know how much that's going to be ASAP and hopefully we can conclude this by midweek :)
I think that's it. Thanks a lot for your help Bren :)
7 sets would go in two SD packages at £8.17 a package.
The sets weigh 500gms a piece so SD will be £4.99 a piece.

good work Mr Arry and Mr Bren
when can i pay as i need some spark plugs for stage 3 S14a and a fuel filter z32 if poss :)
Well we're definitely on, Stidi's just paid, I've just got Aitch's cheque to put into the bank and then I'm ready to ring Bren up with payment details. Should be at the very latest Friday, more likely Thursday afternoon.
I will pay cash for me and Matty as we discussed earlier Arry ;) still waiting for the money to appear in my account from paypal.
no problem mate, I can stomach that :)
I'll ring Bren tomorrow and give him a deposit payment of £400 or so, Ex-CTR if you call him after 2 that should do it ;)
you have email Bren
Ex-ctr - if you want to call Bren and sort out your collars, they're ready to go
Pyro
Lennie
Paradigm Shift
Aitch
Beast1800
Your collars are on their way
Everyone else including me, collars are on way to Babas as soon as Bren's suppliers come through with the goods
Thanks to everyone for paying promptly :)
Top job arry and bren  :notworthy
I'm working on these now but I cannot gaurantee that they will go out today, we will do out best though :)
no worries Ann, I'm sure the lads can wait another day or so :)
Im starting on this now. Its going to be an absolute ball fecker of a job to keep on top of and sort our accounts with so I hope you guys appriciate this ;)
Anyone know what Aitchs surname is, I cant remember so I cant look up his address
Arse, he gave it to me too, but it's indoors :annoyed:
Edit: He's online
coooeeey Aitch - come answer tha man's question :wave:
Ok, Ive done delivery lables for:
Lennie
Pyro
Paradigm Shift
Beat1800
We need to hear from ex-ctr to finalise his order and work our Aitchs surname and then I can do their delivery notes too :)
I dont know why Ive recommended 2x £8.17 for the 7 sets of collers going to Baba. Why not just send them CityLink at £11.75?
sh1ttylink sounds fine to me :)
I've dropped Aitch a PM to direct his attentions here
bren, if you're citylinking any chance i can have the induction Kit sent on the same order? (i've just authorised one of the girls to take the remainder of the payment about half hour ago :) if she's already taken it or if it's too much hassle, don't worry about it)
Im doing your invoice, I dont do invoices, I dont know what Im doing, you should feel honoured :wack: :D
was that to me?
or the collar purchasers in general?
well i've phoned through my details to a very nice sounding lady, bren your a lucky man :D
they been patching their calls through to somewhere else then?
every time i phone apex all i get is bloody northerners ;)
*runs away*
Bren would it be possible to gimme an idea of when the parcel will be coming so I can make sure someone is at home to recieve it?
Thanks :)
Stidi,
Louise has already done your invoice so it would make life difficult :(
Ill tell Louise you called her a bloody northerner so you better start hiding as shell be coming for you. She just said she'll be getting her numchucks out. I dont think thats how its spelt but that how theyre pronouncing it. ;)
Bren would it be possible to gimme an idea of when the parcel will be coming so I can make sure someone is at home to recieve it?

Baba they wont be until middle of next week at the earliest.
you'll have to forgive my cheeky shenanigans ;)

Bren, can you make that 8 sets to Baba's and I'll square you up along with the rest of the money on Monday - sorry mate my feck up
No worrys Arry, money on its way this saturday.
that's what I make it mate :) And 8 sets to Baba's place when they come into stock
Mine arrived, today. Look 100% like the Kazama ones. Something you're not telling us, Bren?
Not that I'm complaining, mind. :D
I couldn't care less if they were Bruce Lee's, so long as they do the job :wack::D
Oh yeah, found them. The Kazama set would retail at close to £80 in the UK. Ours arent Kazama branded but they could well be fromt he same manufacturer :)
Kazama was the D1 world champion 2005 before he came to Silverstone and got beaten by Miki Ryuji
but they're a manufacturer too ;)
kazama's car is setup by Kei office (drift king dude) :)

Am I being thick? I got eight bits of metal that look like the ones at the top of the picture below, and nothing that look like the horse-shoe type of thingummybobs - is that right?
http://www.sxoc.com/vbb/attachment.php?attachmentid=22590&d=1126612322
you should have 4 of each Aitch
you should have 4 of each Aitch
I haven't  :(
Doh :(
The horseshoe ones are for the top of the subframe - they've got the cutout so that you can hook them round the mountings without dropping the subframe down
That will be why we have four horseshoes spare
I dont know how your set werent checked. Michael has been checking the kits out with me before they were sent. I dont know how yours slipped through
We will send out the horseshoes parts on Monday. The smaller rings must have been extra as we dont have any more horse shoes to put witht hem so theres no need to send them back
Cheers Bren
As I don't know much about modding cars them I thought I was being a bit thick at first, but I couldn't work out where eight of the ring doodahs would go so I thought I'd better post :wack:
do you have any sets left?
do you have any sets left?
Bren's ordered plenty, but I'm not running the group buy anymore as it's all done and dusted now, sorry :(
ah, ok. does that mean the price has changed? im sure bren will let me know if it has :D
I'd assume it'll be at the £59 price, rather than the group buy price :)
ah, got ya. see you confused me when you started talking about a group buy :wack:
you have email for the final part of the payment Bren
Got my collars sitting waiting for me when i got home from spain.
It will give me something to do while i waith to get paid again, only got £13 to last this week.......................... :)
Please bear with us as we are just finishing off our stock take and then we'll get the second payment sorted :)
OK looks like my wife will be working all week so can you please let me know before despatching the goods please Ann as they may have to come to my work address :)
Thanks

Did these get sent Bren? I didn't receive them today  :(
We are in the middle of a stock check so are behind with everything. You should get them today.
I've nearly got them. I went over to the post office depot this morning to collect them as I was out when they tried to deliver yesterday. I went into the office and rang the bell and a post bod came out. I showed him the collection card. He turned it round and pointed smugly at the opening hours which said 8.30 - 5.30. So, despite the man that works on the counter, being at the counter, and the door to the office where the counter is being open, me being there with my collection card and the parcel in clear view on the shelf, he would not let me have it :annoyed:
I am going to take great delight in calling the counter bod a wnaker when I go back in half an hour (and after he's given me my parcel :wack: )
Baba, we are just waiting for them to come in so I'll let you know when they are due to go out. :)
Thanks Ann,
If they are coming before friday then they may have to come to my work address which is.

Anybody else got these fitted yet? Had ine on for a while and it makes quite a lot of diff noise, kinda like a mashed wheel bearing buzzing (but its not)
Is this normal? its loud enough to hear over the radio and my mongoose exhaust :(
haven't got mine yet so cant comment mate - sorry :(
Paradigm Shift or Pyro might be able to confirm?

How loud do you play your radio?
It was said in the early part of this thread that there would be some noise, but not how much. Mine are being fitted this sunday, so I guess I'll find out after that :)
Well i dont play it LOUD LOUD and its not a standard head unit, but yeah there quite loud.
Put it this way, i can hear them OVER a mongoose exhaust at any speed unless its foot to the floor.
Equally it would only take about a hour or less to remove them so give them a try before making them into candle holders ;)

well i was going to fit mine till i read your post, think i will wait till a few more have fitted them first:nod:
Any chance of still getting a set for £43 :) ????
They seem to have got a bit better now somehow? quite weird, maybe the have to wobble about a bit and locate into the exactly right postion over a few miles?????
Anyway, not that bad now. And it DEFENATLY makes a big difference to rear end wobbleyness (like there is now none)
:)
How are we doing on the rest of the order Bren? :)
That's good news Lennie
Are there any of these in stock at the mo? :)

They should fit all, since the subby bushes are the same from 13 through to 15
I was getting wound up about the time the suppliers are taking with this order and meant to phone them today (before I forgot) to find out what was going on. I then forgot :wack:
But, happily enough, Ive just recieved this email :)
Hello,
Our machinist finally finished the subframe collars and they are back from the ano shop and ready
to ship out (all 20 sets).
I will have them shipped out by Friday via EMS (express) shipping, so you will ideally have them
next week.

I might be up for some of these, just to confirm: If my bushes are not split I can choose between pineapple rings or collars, if they are split then It's either collars or new bushes?

Sweet Ass!! :D
Thanks Bren. The collars are here
Guys come and get them ;)
I finally got round to fitting mine today :)
Below are my initial findings, based on a 15 mile journey back home after fitting them, some of it on quite twisty roads and the rest on ones that I use every day that I'm very familiar with. I posted most of it on a separate thread in non 200 in order to thank Greg (CrazyMoFo) for helping me to fit them, but I've expanded on it and gone into a bit more detail here...
The alloy subframe collars have made a huge difference. The standard bushes must have been worn because the drive-train shunt and knocking from the diff I was getting has been completely eliminated. I suspected that I needed new subframe bushes and changing them looked like a right ball-ache - this seemed like a cheap but effectual way of proving it one way or the other. It was a gamble, but one that seems to have paid dividends.
There is a bit more transmission noise, but not too much and, if anything, gives the standard car a sound that it was missing from it when it left the factory - one of the things that disappointed me about the noise of the standard car was that it just wasn't special enough, but I've never been arsed to get an aftermarket exhaust to change it and to be honest, I've not heard an aftermarket exhaust note that particularly appeals to me.
The transmission noise is far from intrusive, apart from on the over-run at very slow speeds (>30mph), but even then, turn the stereo up a touch and you don't really notice it. I'll stick a bit of loft lagging in above the wheel arches if it gets wearing, but initial impressions are that it isn't too bad and I can live with it for now.
The biggest change is in the handling - on corners where I know there is a bad camber and could easily hang the back end out, the car now really grips and you really need to give it the full moo to get the back end out now, to the extent I'm not sure how necessary the rear strut brace, the thing I have been fighting a desire for, is.
It took me a while to fit them, but I'm glad I have, which, considering I was never going to modify Neville, is a big thumbs up
Can you save me a set, or 2 actually
Just one set, I'd plan to bribe/pay somebody with a set who has now bought some.

I noticed, but didnt think it worth mentioning really:rolleyes: :p
They seem to have got a bit better now somehow? quite weird, maybe the have to wobble about a bit and locate into the exactly right postion over a few miles?????
I discussed this with Bren at the last Mascrat meet and we couldn't see that they would, but I swear mine have settled and are making less noise. Maybe they settle into the existing rubber of the subframe mounts somehow?
Whatever, they have made a world of difference and highly recommend them - the very noticable handling benefits do indeed outway the very slight increase in noise

Can I be very cheeky for once and point out its "outweigh" not "outway" :p
Please dont mind Aitch. Just couldnt resist it :D

if i get to do some overtime this month i might very well be forced to purchase a set of these here dooberys
are these now a standard stock item bren? when you can get them in that is
We try to keep them in but the manufacturers arent the fastest in supplying :(

Baba, I don't mind at all and you are quite correct :)
In my defence, it was nearly 1am when I posted and alcohol had been consumed :wack:

Fair enough ;) that it didnt sound like a spelling mistake one would expect from a man of your caliber :)
Anyone got a guide on fitting these please?
My subframe bushes are terrible. With one hand, i can shake the whole rear end of the car. I take it i can fit the subframe collars regardless of the state of my current collars?
I am a novice when it comes to the suspension side of things, can somebody please take a few detailed pics with their collars fitted, or instructions?
Does the horse shoe portion go on the top?

I have just recieved mine. i will try to fit them this weekend! what bits go where? stupid question i know but i am stupid...lol
They do look cool. seems a shame to put them under the car!
cheers

As far as Im aware you just drop the mounting nut down, stick the horseshoe on the top of the original bush and the solid ring beneith :)
http://www.sxoc.com/vbb/attachment.php?attachmentid=27550&stc=1&d=1138821600
stick a jack on the subframe or diff though, then just undo the bottom nut - you only need to drop the subby down a minimal amount, just enough to slide the horseshoe in on the top side, then put the bottom one on, put the nut back on, tighten up again and job jobbed
Did mine last week. Very impressed I must say! Although it doesnt make the transmission any noisier  But then my car is so noisy you wouldnt hear it anyway lol :D

i have them fitted now, i can hear a little transmission noise but i have a straight throught 3" turbo back exhaust so cant hear alot...lol. seem to work well so far. fitting was easy just a little wigle hear and there and a little tap with a hammer i got them on, i dont think my subframe has ever been undone before so it was fun to undo..lol
cheers
matt
Has fitting these got rid of anyones axle tramp issues ?
Has fitting these got rid of anyones axle tramp issues ?
It's reduced them, but will never eliminate them altogether
I've got an awful habit of driving sideways in greasy conditions on the public highway and fitting these doofahs has made it so much more controlable (is that a word? ) and wouldn't hesitate in recommending them to anyone :)
