200sx S13 Electric Aerial getting stuck...

Can anyone tell me what is the the best way to stop the electric aerial on S13 from getting stuck.

wire wool, 3in1 and wd40 I gave up and left it with 1 quarter sticking out, sod it I hand wash it anyway.

When mine got stuck I just took the whole thing out, took the plate off the bottom and cleaned the whole thing out, the teeth sometimes get clogged up. It was a fiddly job but not too bad, I now clean mine every couple of weeks ( the aerial that is!!) with WD40 then a thin coat ot 3 in 1, cycle it in an out afew times (ooo err) and never seems too go wrong.

How does the aerial come out. Ive tried a few times and cant get it.

As far as I can remember,(it was 5 years ago I did mine never had to touch it since) you just open the little flap in the boot trim where the jack lives and unbolt the aerial from there. As i recall it was a bit fiddly, you also have to be careful not to dent the car from the inside. Hope this helps
