HI i'm Silvia- I'm a newbie here- and I like screamin - alot- especially about Drifting and so I came here to let you guys and gals know :-

The Final round of the AUTOGLYM DRIFT Championship takes place at the home of the British Motor racing -Silverstone on Saturday 3rd September. This is a closely fought series with the overall winner yet to be decided as the season points are that close at the moment. Please check www.ukd1.com for more details.

Drifting is an extreme motorsport where the drivers showcase their ability to race the car sideways on and beyond its tractable limits whilst battling against other drivers on track. Points are awarded by judges placed at strategic parts of the bend who evaluate entry speed, the angle of the drift, the smoothness of power delivery, and consistency.

The headline sponsor Autoglym’s Chief Executive Paul Caller is a devotee of the sport. "The sight of a car drifting round a bend at 100mph or more with the driver in full control makes for a marvellous spectacle. Having also been a passenger, I can vouch for the excitement from inside the car as well! The speeds of the cars and skills of the drivers has to be seen to be believed.”

Tickets will be available from the gate on the day of the event and are priced at £10 per person with children under 15 going free. The event runs from 9am to 5pm.

I hope to see you there.

Screamin Silvia ;)

Sorry mate - being a mere mortal and not one of the demigods of the scene, I only get to go to the odd event - generally where twindrift is either banned or not an option - rather than be flown by private jet to be fed grapes by naked JDM birds while judging from the royal box :ghey:

Lawnmower racing is much more accessible to an average joe like me  ;)

If only it was really like that doc... I would be doing more of it. If you came on saturday, I'm sure you were impressed by a certain Mr. Martin French
