View Full Version : Help Tonight plz ? nothing major...

Hi lads....

I got a problem, from what i am told, it appears i have blown a hose off or out, the hose being the one from the turbo to the IC (i got no boost, and cant get over 4k rpm)

I'm told its simple jubliee clip and plug hose back in, but this is me were talking about now :wack:
Anyone know how to fix such things, got a spare 20 mins ???
i can drive to u, or does that damage it even more driving with hoses hanging off ?

why not pop the bonnet and move all your boost hoses about. if ones popped off you'll be able to spot it easily. you've only got to tighten up the jubilee clip then (providing its not fallen off, otherwise you'll need to buy a new one)

It's usualy easy to spot mate :nod:

It does sound like a boost pipe from your explanation.

Check all the large pipes under the bonet :)

I've just thought, the airbox would most likely need to come off to get a good look at the pipes to the side and underneath it ? AA man didnt do that yesterday......

Fixed it anyway. Stu seemed happy :nod:

The Intercooler > Coldpipe join had blown off and dissapeared the jubilee clip. Took the airbox off, fitted a new jubilee clip and hey presto, fixed. There were a few other clips that were not tight too, particularly the two coldpipe > throttle body ones. :smash: Tightened every clip in sight with me trusty 8 mil socket. :thumbs:

See! I didnt break it after all! :wack:
