Back in the mid seventies, I had a Ford 100E (motivated by a Lotus twinc) running 255 x 18's on the rear.
The rear end was jacked up about six inches using extended shackles for that, drag racer look. The axle was orange painted , and all was perfectly displayed by a 55w bulb placed above the axle.
Boy am I glad i've grown up!
