View Full Version : GT Concept out tomorrow!!!!
The update Grand Turismo game for GT3 is out tomorrow so I know I'll be doing this weekend. No SX's but the new 350Z puts in a few appearances as does the old faithfull C-West Silvia and the s13 K's Silvia along with the s15 Aero!!! Have a look at the car list: http://special.reserve.co.uk/news/story.php?id=1878&af=newslistspecialreserve
Bloody EB wanted £30 for it
Well they can Fook off cause its only a cut down of the original anyway, cheeky gits:mad:
I ordered it from Play24 7 yesterday for £17.99...Cant wait
Have a look www.play.com/play247.asp?page=front&r=PS2
Thanks H have just ordered it from them:D
Oh nuts, forgot about this, should have ordered it yesterday. Looks like HMV are doing it for 24.99 though, a bit better than £30 and I get to play it tomorrow.
Hey ho, off to the shops then....

It's a bit of a disappointment unfortunately. :( It's really easy, I only played it for a couple of hours this afternoon and managed to complete 30% of the game. I got golds first time in all the track licences I tried and won every race first time! I have played GT3 a lot so I am familiar with the tracks but I didn't expect it to be this easy. I even turned all the driver aids off and I still keep winning! The new cars are nice tho. They seem to handle more life like than the GT3 cars and you can really get them seriously sideways and still drift around the corners!!!:D
I love the whole GT thing so the price didn't worry me but don't expect the earth from it.
Off to Asda to see ig they've got it in..
... and any excuse for a drive/annoy the neighbours session :D
Asda didn't have it and Tesco had sold out :(

Has the english version got more cars than the Japanese version, or somthing?
I have the Japanese Version and the car list doesnt seem that expansive! It was worth a fiver :)
Handling is better in concept though, particuarly under braking..

You're right there Pazz!!! The cars are much more life like and you can't do those do or die braking moves into the apex now. You will end up in the gravel the other side or facing the other way with all the other cars gone!!!! You can get some nice drifts by stabbing the brakes as the cars weight shifts on turn-in and also lifting off mid corner!!:D Much more fun than the GT3 cars handling but not really worth the asking price in the UK unless you are a real die hard GT player.(umless you got it for a fiver!!! :p )
Got it from Tescos in Colchester...
Left it in the car... rollocks..
/tramps off outside :(

I've had the Japanese version of this game for ages now. I think it was released in Japan quite a long time ago.
One of the strangest cars on there is the new Skyline. It has a CVT gearbox and sounds like an auto when changing up through the gears as the throttle is never closed. Sounds wierd when you are used to an ignition-cut type gearshift.
I'll shup up now........;) :D
Robert.
Bought it yesterday finally got it form V Shop after seeing it was £40 in PC World:eek:
Top game, but as Red says it is quite easy, I managed to complete 42% in a few hours, before my thumbs started seizing up:D
The good thing about it is that it is instantly playable unlike GT3. There are also some top motors in it, the RX8 is flippin quick! And using a Skyline as a rally car, absolute madness. The only problem I had was trying to drive the tarmac cars without drifting them, I found that I instinctively unsettle the cars and get them sideways round every corner!!!
Anybody get to the Pod race yet? What is that alll about? I do remember reading about them in Loaded, the lights on the front are supposed to reflect the mood of the driver or something. Dunno what the tail things are for though...
