View Full Version : rolling road
just finished stage 1 mods so looking to get her on a rolling road to make sure everything is ok.
anyone recommend somewhere?
ive heard that new tuning place in lisburn is good,
think im going to take a run up when i get the new engine in, so hopefully within 2 weeks,
as for cartoys, mcvicker, and ds autos - ive heard mixed reports
cartoys - apparently havent a clue
mcvicker - not computer generated - done by hand
ds autos - tops out at 300bhp so ive heard - so that sout for me ( well heres hoping)
and this one is lisburn can cope to 1000 bhp and is 4wd, migth be good.
cool, any idea of prices of lisburn and ds autos?

Apparently guy in Lisburn has big money behind him but when mate of mine went looking Skyline GTS-T pistons he said yup no problem,£1000, then fortnight later he admits, no cant get them anywhere after wasting the guys time! We got them out of Oz ourselves.
i'd heard it was a million pound place, haven't checked it out yet tho. where abouts in lisburn is it?
think its on the road past the mot centre

don't suppose it anywhere near the wheel refurbishing place ....can't remember its name- think the address is moira road
i don't know lisburn at all :(
oh your thinking of lesiter engineeing????
not to savvy with the burn myself, but i think its closer to the centre than that far out where the alloy wheel place is
aye thats the place. think i'll head down tomaro- most likely get lost then lol :)
let me know if you find it, lol
havent been myself
found it pretty easy mate. got good direction off the fella before i left :)
its some outfit he has there, looks like it'll be something special when it opens properly
theres builders in at the mo, but they are still taking on some work- scoobies and evos lying everywhere! :D
sounds good, is the R.R up and running , wonder oif they would give my car a quick blast on it?
they were finishing off working on the fans when i was there. they have 1 in front and 1 behind the car. he said he could do mine next week
Jon44 and RMS are having an RR day there, £30 instead of £50. however if u want a knock test etc done its £100. he said that would take too long to be done on the open day so you'd have to organise it for yourself. thats what i'm gonna do in a month or so

if you want a knock test done.. speak to airforce1 on RMS, he has the knock headphones.. and has a 530ish EVO.. all tuned by himself

whats the difference between a knock test and a normal r.r?

basically they will set your car up on the RR... do a power run.. but at same time set on a knock monitor.. or a set of det cans and listen to the engine to see if they detect detonation... thus taking more time to do.. and more time = more money

Would like to get the RR figures on mmine before I do anything to it. Be good to get a baseline so I can judge weather the mods I get do much to the power.
Not gonna go made anyway, will definetly be getting a induction kit and exhaust system. Havn't thought about what else to do performance wise besides those bits.
