If you go up and down the A14/A1/A1M, you can max it on the 4 lane bit of the A1M near Peterborough and then fill up with Optimax on the A14 near Cambridge. There are no speed cameras on the A1M, but a few on the A14.

I got an indicated 150 just before Peterborough. What is that in real money?

yeah thats the stretch that i got my indicated 119mph in my rover 214 sli 16v!!

but you should be able to get an indicated 150mph in ur 200 on almost any road!

its roughly 150 mph - 5%(ish) then give or take a couple of mph

In the TSC feature in Banzai, they reckon and S13 at an indicated 150 is just doing 130.

Do any of you who went to the TSC have a note of what the indicated speed was for the GPS recorded speed?

I was clocked at 139 mph at TSC
On the dash it was reading 147mph ish
:) :)

just under 6% over read so my prediction of roughly 5% over read +/- a couple mph weren't to bad at all!

Still pretty quick, eh?

Well it got to differ from car to car
I had bigger wheels and a slightly larger rolling diameter tyre on
And it also depends on how worn the tyres are

yeah it's crazy, i think that if a car is going to have a speedometer (which they all do and have to have) it should be accurate at anyspeed.

like the ones that work on magnetic flux are really quite accurate, would look quite wikid with a digital display as well, bit like knight rider!:)

At least speedos read fast, not slow. We would all have problems with the police if speedometers were telling us 85 when we were actually doing 95!!

I normally just look at the revcounter and check that there is no traffic in front!! ;)

don't even do that, just keep foot flat unless someone is in front, let it go all the way up but ten sometimes use brakes if a jag v12 just pulls into outside lane and refuses to go faster than 80:mad:
