Where can I get some from? They look great fun :D
Yeah they are. Pity one doesnt work propely though, its going to have to go back :(
Im going to try a different make, just hang on a few days and Ill let you know which is best :D
Im going to buy a couple of these next:

These are based on the Kyosho Mini Z racers. I was sent one of those by mistake a couple of weeks ago and trust me, they are the borrocks!! They are, however, a little pricey at £120 each
The Palm Runner as in the pic look identical to the Mini Zs and I believe they use a similar (or identical) body, chassis and motor. I assume that they are just not equipped with fully progressive steering and power, hence the price difference.
They should be the borrocks and at £39 I think they will offer more fun per £ because they are bigger than the Mini racers in the top pics meaning you can race them on carpet, outside etc. They also have a much better range, are much quicker and will last for upto 2 hours as they contain a couple of little AAA batteries where as the really little models have to be charged from the hand set so only last around five mins :(
The Palm Racers can also be upgraded with new tyres, faster motors etc :D
Im going to send this mini thing back tommorrow and order two of the Palm Racers, Ill let you know if theyre any good :)
Heres a comment that an owner made about his:
"AWESOME!!! After attempting to run over my cat (Well, they have 9 lives!) I decided to visit my local model shop to get the upgraded motor for the mini-z racers (they didn't have the upgraded palm runner motor). Now it's so fast it leaves marks on my kitchen floor!!!!!!!! I had to fork out an extra fiver for a new set of high grip tires. When I get my digi camera working, I'll send in a pic. The best £50 or so I ever spent!!!!!!!!!!!"

I work in a model shop at the weekend
I saw the palm runners at the toy fair
They was lame in an big way
I wouldn’t bother mate!!
Mind you my expectations may be a but higher than others
I have 2 mini z’s and I’m in to RC in quite a big way!!
http://www.model-junction.co.uk/images/yik.jpg
I thought they were basically the same as the Mini Zs but without the trick speed controller, progressive steering and high tech rc controller?
That’s the first difference
But the main difference is the car hasn’t got a differential
That coupled with a no/off speed controller makes cornering difficult but not impossible
I know the min z is difficult to control with a geared differential
Which is why I replaced mine with a limited slip one
Also the options if any are very limited
:)
Youve got a slippy diff on a remote controlled car 12cm long!!  Bloody hell!! LOL
I actually got sent a Mini Z by mistake and spent a couple of happy hours playing with it before realising that my thoughts that it was too good to be true for £20 were correct and that it wasnt actually the Mini Racer that Id ordered!! LOL
It was the borrocks though, very very quick. I sent it back and got a refund, but as I said only after a couple of hours playing in the car park ;) :D
Ive got a Kyosho 4wd 1/8th scale Nitro car thats just about to go back together (after waiting 2 months for a part to arrive from Japan  ) so theres no way Im spending £240 on a pair ofr Mini Zs, hence my interest in the Palm Runners.
I was under the impression that most of the Mini Z uprated parts will fit the Palm Runners. I know that the engine at least will fit.
I think the motor is common and I think the tyres may fit too
The rest of the min z options are mechanical and probably will not fit
Like the ball diff and the dampers and ainti roll bars etc!
The min Zs is a bit on the expensive side though
Don’t get me wrong the palm runners can be good fun
But don’t expect too much from it :D :D
The 1/8 scale Kyosho was it the “land max”
What part was you waiting for ??
Yeah its a Land Max. I bought the car second hand and had to rebuild the engine with new piston and liner. Sadly I must have refitted the clutch incorrectly as it stripped a discs that connects the crank to the clutch. When I rebuilt the engine I used thread lock that I got with the car but it turned out to be mega striong stuff and I had real trouble stripping the thing apart again to get the disc back off. I ended up damaging a bolt type thing that screws into the crank and its that part that Ive been waiting for.
I got the part on Monday and started assembling the engine immediately (as you do :D ) and found that the replacement dics I bought was also damaged  Im now waiting for one of those to arrive, should be here tommorrow :)
When I rebuilt the engine Id just spent a few hours running the thing in and had set the engine up perfectly, it was absolutely flying!! It was reving so high that it made me cringe!! LOL
And then it stripped the discs I was on about! Arse!!! LOL
