go kart???????

i'm thinking of getting a go kart later today, 400cc, 6 speed. been told it does 60 in 3 sec's, race tuned and all that. Can i make it road legal?? be so cool to have a go kart on the road. i've seen what some people have got on the road: bed, skip, shed, are just a few. how do i go about it and what do i do? thanks........................

You would have to get it to pass an SVA test, it won't happen.

nearest you can get to a go kart on the road is a caterham or westfield :)

I think they both do cars that can hit 60 in 3 seconds...

then how can you get a bed on the road? or a skip?

Think the Sofa was a 3 wheeler (SVA exempt at the time?)

The skip was just a skip over a car chassis wasn't it?

Anyway the kart would still need an SVA unless you could find some exemption - though I don't know how.

I think you would have your work cut out adapting a kart to SVA, though anything is possible with enough time/money.
