I have lost my indicators and interior light? I have been playing behind the dash the last few weeks but everything is connected to something and all fuses are working!

I have tested the hazards switch and there is power going though it!

Have you replaced the Stereo head-unit?
checked both fuseboxes?

Well I replaced it before the engine conversion and it all worked fine. When I set the alarm the lights flash! I have just got that fuse diagram so I know which ones it is now, I’m just hoping its something I missed.

Try to run a new earthing (ground?) cable from the stereo directly to the chassis. Have heard of people getting electrical problems when replacing stereo-unit on their JDMs and running it on the stock earthing cable.

Sounds like it's that problem.

No problems

Sorry I couldn't be more specific about how to do it.
All I know is that you're supposed to run a new ground cabel directly to the chassis when replacing headunit to a non-japanese one :)

I never new that! thanks.

I did work before but with the bigger engine could be taking more current.
I will take the stereo out tonight and try it and if it works I will run a new ground cable and refit the stereo. :)

I would say blown fuse.
But you've already checked that so I stand clueless at the moment :wack:

try tracing the wires for the interior light as its going to be fairly straight forward, probably only 2 wires, fix that and it might fix your indicator problem.

with the indicators, do you get the clicking sound from the relay?

Do you have an alarm installed , that can control the interior light as this would also control the indicators.

The interior light is now working! But still no indicators. The switch is working, well we have tested it and there is a circuit going though (hazard switch).

I have an alarm and all the light work, next thing to do is see if there is a circuit going though the switch on the steering column.

Is there a relay of something down by the ecu or behind the glove box?

I think the flasher relay is under the stearing column.

so can the alarm flash the indicators?

Yes, when I set the alarm they work. I have had the dash out and im just wondering if I have not connected something up.

You beauty!!!

I noticed when I just had another look behind the HU that there is a 4" lenngth of black wire screwed to the dash metalwork, it must have been attached to the HU.

Will try tomorrow and see if I get my indicators back for alarm functions... :D
