View Full Version : Would anybody want to do a SR20 engine swap for under £250??
£250 is my best quote and TBH I trust the mechanic willing to do it. PM me if you wanted to do it for some cash in hand. I am based in Newport (next to Cardiff) with 2 s14’s, 1 has immaculate body work, 1 has an almost new engine, so a like the new engine swapped into the better car.
I would be willing to get the car to you at anytime and say it was done over a weekend I would be more than happy to muck in!
Obviously no kamikazes who have never done it before, I need it done properly!
I await your PMs……..
Joe.
I'd speak to DATMO there probably the best people for this job!

Moving this as its not technical.
Where would it go Papa? I presumed technical members capable of doing an engine swap would focus on the technical section. No offence intended in anyway.

No prob :) I've put in the local section as I would assume anyone likely to travel to do the swap is going to be local (Wales or West of England possibly).
TBH theres nothing really that technical about a straight swap. Its just hard graft, and easier with a few pairs of hands  We've down a few down here now as a group.
If you like I can move it to general 200 though.

If you have an engine crane (or even access to one), I can come and help you most likely. As papa says, a straight swap is easy and certainly worth saving £250 doing yourself.
We did Dave's swap in one day  2 engines out and one refitted and running
