Tubby gasket,boost leak probs that i know off,I'm sure it dosnt end there.The car cant actually start today. I'm gonna go get new plugs as the densos are knackered.I think that may help.

not sure about belfast, i take mine to dm motors in ards, only coz the mechanic is sound as fook and used to work for nissan.

prob the wmic. If your stuck i know a guy will look at it and he really knows his stuff but hes usually flat out and it might take a week or so before he gets free'd up

tubby gaskets can be easily sorted, just need to make sure you get a good gasket and some braided turbo lines. phone les @ turkington pitstop 02890815144 ( on hols until monday, i can do it if you need it done sooner, im looking after his workshop for the week)

not starting, PM porter, he had the same problem last week, think he removed the fuel pump fuse and turned it over to clear the flooded engine

boost leak, could be to do with the WMIC, i think porter also has a spare one of these now

new plugs in and she starts!!! Shes boosting and holding boost so i now dont think there is any boost leak.I've defo got a tubby gasket gone as the boost is really deleyed,and when u put your hand down near the turbo,u can feel the hot gas escaping.(i think the corner of the gasket has blown away).
Claudefrog,thanks for the info. if u dont mind me asking.how much would u or Les charge for the gasket change??

just realising.. its a s14, has the egr bollox on it.

with egr it means you have to break it off, then get the manifold welded up, i wouldnt be able to do this myself, would have to wait until les is back (i cant weld yet) will speak to him when he gets back if you like :)


unless you want to go mad and put a tubular manifold on :P i could do it saturday for you

apex are doing a really good deal on tubular manifolds at the mo. Down from £300 odd quid to £149 and they look really nice. 3mm thick gauge etc.

boost leak,several oil leaks and gettin very laggy now too.....

on the plus side tho...my new brakes and poly bushes should b on their way from the states :)
