Unprecedented bravery on my part

In a month's time I'm taking the 200 to the Continent for ten days...going nowhere in particular till we get there (that's brave move No.1 - just taking the car out of the country). Second part of my bravery (rashness) is that my kids are going with me (minimal luggage job, plus tent).
Question: who's had good short-term european breakdown cover that they could recommend?

Dunno about short-term cover...my annual policy has always been with Green Flag [now Direct Line, I believe] cos they were cheaper than RAC & AA. Have used it once when the starter motor on the *whisper* Cortina went in Alencon - no probs & no complaints. :)
