Precisely 28 days and 7 1/2 hours from now, I'll be winging my way to Japan for a rather nice, and well deserved 2 week holiday with a mate who lives there.

I shall be bringing back everyting I can get my hands on that a) fit's a 2*****, and b) is cheap and second hand! :D

aparently they sell Smirnoff Ice, and Stella, so a good time is guaranteed :D

This is my first holiday since nineteen ninety bl**dy seven!!!!

I will then be back precisely 48 hours before the RR shootout, just in time to dispense a Class-A super-whupping to, er, practically nobody looking at the list! ;)

My cheque is being written as we speak Mr Carter :)

Hey, I went to Japan last April, awesome place. So much to see and do, such a lovely bunch of people.

Where will you be staying?

Just a few thoughts, if you're in Tokyo, definitely visit:
1. Sony building, plenty of toys
2. Toyota T-Gaku. It's a huge Toyota display in the Daibyo (bay area).
3. Meiji jingo. Big park in the middle of Tokyo. You simply won't believe you're still in tokyo.

Just one other point. When you're asking for directions, ask the girls, all the guys will simply ignore you.

Yes, i'm going to Tokyo... And I didn't intend going there to talk to the japanese guys.... ;)

Not that the girls would understand a word I'm saying! :)

I'll make sure I check the park out too :)

Chances are that you'll find almost all the girls you meet will speak at least a little english.

Usually what happens is that you've got lost again (any excuse) and want to ask directions.

So you walk upto random stunningly gorgeous woman and say
"sumimasen ga" (excuse me)
to which she will look blankly at you, because you're pronunciation will be terrible.
You then say,
"do you speak english"
She replies (whilst giggling),
"Chotto, chotto" (a little)
So you ask,
"I'm trying to find Toyota T-Gaku"
She will look blankly for a second, then promptly give you a completely brilliant and detailed description of how to get there.

God how I love Japanese women...

I can assure you that I'm well envious mate, go have fun.

I'll note that in my little book of 'things to say to sound like a tourist!' :D

My mate speaks semi-fluent Jap now, and is well up on the party scene out there. I intend to enjoy a few drunken or otherwise altered beach parties in some of the caves they have parties in down on the beach aparently :)

It's great fun ringing my mates mobile when he's a bit gone, and he answers in Japanese, and it takes him a good few seconds of confusion to switch back to english mode! :D

You'll have to put up some of your fav pics when you get back, so that we can all think WOW!

Any chance of me going in your place?

 But I know where my robot is!

I'm hoping my mate will give me some comedy phrases to say, in the ignorant British tourist style! He could get me to ask the way to the nearest brothel... and I wouldn't have a clue! :D well, until I got there
