brworppp POP fissst bworwppp POP BANG!!

For legal puposes the following tale has been made up! and I beleive that speed limits should be obeyed at all times.

Last night i traveled back from cardiff as i came along the M4 two scobby's appeared in the rear veiw mirror, at a rate of Knots. So in order to keep the good name of 200's everywere I allowed them to pass. And pulled to the slow lane.
As they passed they slowed and rev'd etc. I reve'd back then dropped a cog Knotched up my boost controller and took the car to 7000 in forth in the blink of an eye leaving the wrx's looking very small in the rear veiw mirror.
I then change to fifth ........ and as reach the end of what my speedo can read and the wrx's no were in sight  . I return to normal speed andretire to the inside lane.
Then as slow to do this i accelarate one more time to move around a HGV and then there was is a pop all power was gone it drove but no power   :furious: :censored:  :furious:    :censored: :furious:
The temp never rose and no engine noise but pase 2000rpm it splutterd and had no power it drove the 20 miles or so home like this(with no smoke!)
I thinks me turbo is gone i'm gonna try and have it off this weekend any ideas on what i should look for...... And in turn what kind off kit should I put back to prevent it happening again.
(And don't say another driver)

Check all electrical connections too, this happened to me and turned out to be the connection to the timing( CAS) thingy at the front of the block.

Thanks guys , I managed to get a bit of time with my car on saturday and although I now have a huge smile   , I do feel rather dull. :annoyed: :annoyed:

I'd just changed the turbo water hoses for braded ones and to do this I had to take off the Blitz dump valve elbow thing.(Can you see were I'm going)
Its held in by a jubilee clip at both ends.

On saturday I noticed this had popped off one of the clips.

So I thought "Hmmmm I wonder" poped it back on

And re-started.............Bit of soot out the back at first and she was puring like an angry kitten again.

So the problem it would seem is me, not putting things back how I found them....!

"Yes I Know I'm a dumb ass!"
