View Full Version : Boost light gauge not working.
Hi.
My stock boost gauge lights is not working.
Tried to give the gauge a beating ;) but it didnt work.
Also tried to open the boost gauge to see if the light was broken but couldn't get it open.
Anyone know how to get the gauge open?

Ok. I tried to pull the front ring of but didn't dare to use to much force.
I'll have another go at it this weekend. Maybe I'll use some kind of tool to help me.

Just checked this. You have to take the front of the pod first (detach at the bottom). This allows access to a retaining bolt. Remove this, then the A-pillar trim can be removed. Release the electrical connector then unscrew the retaining screws. The gauge comes out throught the front of the pod.
Unfortunately, it looks as though the bulb isn't meant to be replaced. You'd have to take the entire gauge to pieces to get to it.

Looks easy. It isn't. The electrics cannot be removed to get to the bulb, which is nestled between the left layer and the front gauge backing. Pulling it out looks like it will break it.
Thank you for the help Nicely. :notworthy
I'll just leave it as it is and get an aftermarket one later.
I don't check boost pressure in the dark to often ;)
best regards
Paul
