When I was looking for Insurance for my 1991 SX I looked everywhere on the Net and came up with quite a good deal that might interest some of you. Remember that I'm 31 and the car has no modifications.
Anyway I got a cheap 3PFT quote from Firebond.co.uk and when I called them to accept they (rather kindly) told me about there 'Modern Classic' program. Basically they cover in exactly the same way as a Classic (limited mileage and they give you full NCB as standard). Anyway I got it insured 3PFT for £220 on 10,000 miles. Bargain.
Thanks. I have tried www.firebond.co.uk and they have given me the best quote so far, £510 fully comp including mods listed as below.
Age 29
7 yrs NCB
1991 200sx
Medium risk area
Well done Mr.TheKnowledge(;) ).
I use the 200 on a second policy and it's a b@stard to find anyone competitve. Will give 'em a ring in a few months.

Be aware that ‘classic’ policies may not use your No Claims Bonus, so if you are not using it on another policy after 2 years you will ‘lose’ that NCB when you try to buy a non-classic policy.
A little of The Knowledge can be a dangerous thing :D
Cheers, Phil
I have just been sorting out my insurance this morning, and the loss of NCB worried me with firebond. The lady suggested buying a cheap car and insuring this with my other policy to keep my NCB.
But why would I want to do that. It would cost me more than the policy saved me. :(
Best thing to do is get a quote from these people then phone Adrian FLux who will match or better this quote, and allow you to keep your NCB. :) Been with FLux 3 years now and happy enough with them. THey always try it on come renewal time though so you have to get a quote elsewhere just to keep tehm on the ball ;)
Just paid £498 fully comp with all mods delcared
:D
