View Full Version : Usa F1
what a balls up that was :wack:
lol... funny tho and the normal back markers were 100% reliable for once, and will have got some decent sponsership money as they are paid partly on air time the car has,
wouldn't be funny if you'd paid to see it.
i'm not a fan of F1 really anyway, it seems there is too much politics, which just ruins it all. this is a perfect example of this.
happens with most motersport these days tho...
1 thing that pees me off about f1 is they scrap slicks rite... then they force ppl to use 1 set of tires a race so by the end they are just like worn slicks... might as well start making the ridges out of paper so they are gone after 1 lap and they are bck on slicks...
shame they didnt cancel the race and get some drifting on tv :P
They go on about safety etc,and then they say one set of tyres per race!causing two high speed blowouts  .crazy
There's a huge thread in non 200 about this ;)
there shouldn't be, we have a very good motorsport section for topics of a Motorsport nature - that said, there was no Motorsport happening today, so maybe its better off there :wack:
i did look before i made this topic. :o
Highlights are on now
:wack:
that shouldnt take long then

would have killed somebody. idiots. and they took it out on the drivers as well. bloody ignorant
When I heard the FIA spokesman today it made sense, all the talking heads were yabbering on about a chicane section being put in to reduce the speed along the back straight, but FIA man pointed out that the track had not been homologated with a chicane and that if there was an accident because of the chicane then there would be almighty trouble in the courts in the US. As the man said "Could you imagine trying to argue your case in an American court defending your last minute unauthorised change to the circuit that resulted in an accident?" I certainly wouldnt hold out much hope.
Apparently Michellin wanted there to be a compulsory speed restriction on the banked section for all the cars, FIA said no, Bridgestone tyres don't need to do that so they don't have to.
The problem it seems was caused by Michellin. But then the FIA would say that wouldn't they?
