anyone in wales (further west the better  ) able to help me out with setting a boost controller before santa pod friday? it's believed to be an evc 2 or 3 but as its 2nd hand i had no instructions or w.h.y. I can get the screen to read either 0.9 low or 1.2 high but can't seem to adjust it and it detted real bad when i gave it beans (don't want to have to re-built it again so soon :wack: )
cheers lads,
jon.
If it's detting mate it sounds like you need to adjust the A/F ratio or get it mapped. Setting the boost up won't help much I don't think. If anytrhing you want to lower the boost just to be on the safe side or you'll end up re-building again. I would'nt run more than 12psi until you get it mapped or chipped. If your running 1.2bar thats 17.6psi with no mapping = problems

hi mate, yeah i switched it off as soon as i tried it. my ecu has a stage one chip, but i can't see it coping with that much boost. i've come to the conclusion that the evc is faulty now, because the dial isn't adjusting the settings as i've been told it should. i've had to put it back to standard for now, bang goes a decent time at the pod on the weekend, lol.
thanks for the reply,
jon.
