Just curious really... is it the same as for petrol turbos? Do you turn up the boost as much as you can, fit bigger intercoolers etc?

You can get them sort of "chipped" at http://www.vanaaken.com/
I have a switch on mine which increases the fuel pressure.
The more fuel pressure there is, the more boost it can run, low is set at 10psi, and high at 15 psi - still a Diesel though :(

What car is it? So you need to adjust the fuel pressure somehow... does it have a wastegate like a petrol one? If so I assume you need an ajustable actuator or something similar?
What got me thinking was seeing this website:

not that I am thinking of getting a veggy converted diesel car :)
Its a 5 door Sierra which started life as a 1.8LX. Since then its had a Mondeo 1.8 TD lump dropped in and rotated 90 degrees to run Sierra RWD rather than Mondeo FWD.
The tubby has got an actuator, but that doesnt require adjusting on mine, belive you can fit a bleed valve to a pug TD though.
