Hya fellas. New to the forum and thought i would say hi. as it says i will be looking to buy an S15 in the near future. I would really like to get a spec R Aero if i can find one.

I will probably import myself as finding one here may prove problematic.

I have never driven one but since i first saw one i was in love with it

What should i be looking for when buying?

dont know alot about my car yet! only real probs i have had is the usual gear box whine is normal im told on the 6 speed box.

gasket on the turbo? but think i was unlucky?

other than that fairly trouble free :nod: :thumbs:

but im no expert sure there is a wealth of knowledge on here that can help :nod:

Unless you find one that is totally standard, I'd seriously consider importing one through a main Jap importer. They take care of 'standardising' modded cars to get them through ESVA. Import it yourself and you'll have to do it yourself. You'd have to find a set of standard alloys and a standard exhaust if they were different, for example.

Another thing you have to remember is that the car was never sold in the UK or Europe. As such, if you need to get hold of any replacement parts which vary from the S14/a, you're looking at a six week order from Japan unless you pay extra to get it flown over.

Highly recommend going though a main importer as when the car comes over if the car is not how described you don’t have to take it. I think nicely had a problem with his car when he first got it, if he imported it himself he would have no come back on the car.

I'd been in discussions with them previously before I got the Pewter one. I knew they had the blue one in transit too...
