Can anyone help me to strip my car in the next 2 weeks?
I need to get all the parts off ready to go into the new shell when it arrives.
Payment in beer and food
when are you looking to do it?
I could possibly give you a hand in the evenings :)

I want to have the new shell down here in a fortnight, but need to strip the old one and get rid of the shell before the new one arrives as i havnt got space for both. I only need the front discs, engine and gearbox off the old one. Anything else i can salvage can be given free to anyone that helps and needs the bits. Anything else im going to put up for sale
I would try to keep as much of your current cara s you can ntil the new one is running

Well panels, doors, bonnet etc i wont need mechanical bits i'll keep till i know if i need them. The new shell is only missing front discs, engine, gearbox and seats. everything else is still in the car.
I would start taking it apart but I wouldnt know where to start on the engine :D I need some guidance
I should be free for the next couple of weeks (evenings only)
i'm free during the days. won't be able to do anything for probably a week or so as i'm still re-shelling mine. i got the engine out of one and into the other in 1 day, i'm well chuffed with that. got to get it up and running and then MOT'd before i could help out. the plan is for it to be sorted by the end of next week (pending any MOT disasters). :)
have you got an engine crane sorted?

i got one hired for £15 a day plus £7.50 each way for del. that was from Ran Hire, they are based in Barry so might be a bit far.

right then! back on topic.
The old car is in the garage and as of tonight has had the front and rear bumpers removed, all front lights removed, exhaust removed, front discs removed.
tomorrow im going to drain the coolant and remove the radiator, intercooler, and as much intake stuff as i can figure out. I need some of you guys to help me take the rest of the engine bay apart.
I have a copy of the workshop manual but i think it might take me a day or two to read through it.
Im hoping to get it ready for engine removal on the weekend.
remember im an idiot and everthing im doing is completely new to me, im teaching myself as i go along!
Whos is free this saturday to help taking the engine out??
If all goes to plan i'll be needing people to put the engine back in the new car the weekend after.
Like i said before payment in food, beer, and any parts people need off my old car that i dont need, plus i have a pair of sparco 3 point harnesses that need a home
i can help on sunday

I have been speaking to the guy im buying the shell off and he said that the engine harness is in but the connector blocks have been chopped off.
WHat will be easier? rewiring my blocks onto the harness or riping my harness out and using that instead??
The engine bay wiring is still attatched to your engine, we'll use that
