Conversely, I'm really pleased cos I had time to mow both the lawns and wash the car and dry it off before the rain came :D

I've discovered the joys of having a nice shiny car now...used to wash it about once every 2 months but now I wash it every week or so...in fact this week it's been washed 3 times!  (Washed it last Sat, then it broke so had to go into Mr Nissan, who fixed it n washed it for me, but made an absolutely cr4p job of doing so, so it was covered in water streaks  - had no choice but to wash it again today! )

I would wash mine if it made it go faster!

apparently it helps... the dirt loses up to... 3bhp... in terms of wind resistance. apparently...

If you have an intercooler, then washing your car may well make it go faster.

I'm being completely serious here,

whenever I wash my car, I can Guarantee that a bird will do one over it within 24 hours, straight up.

When it came back from having body work done, I spent six hours cutting it back and polishing it, I went inside to get window polish, and when I came out again.......
