been mate, cant go mad on a school night :D
Cant make it. Im in london till monday, and then ill be spending monday and tuesday night re-fitting my manifold, turbo, elbow, downpipe, hotpipe, air filter, various pipes, new gaskets, braided water feeds, braided oil feeds, etc.
No one offers to help little me do they :( Ive only got a pir of pliers to do all the bolts up with! :cry: it took me 3 days to undo them all!
Maybe i'll actually be able to drive to work again on wednesday :|

Does anyone have a decibel meter??
My Dad is in my opinion the loudest sorer in the world!! But he doesnt belive anyone that tells him.
My plan is to test him with a decibel meter and get it on video then video a decibel reading of a 200sx with loud exhausst as he'll know what that is like. then give him the video evidence and try to get him to get some bloody surgery done.

Looks like I may be trying to fit a new GT28RS turbo on me own :eek: :eek: so it should be a laugh as I've never attempted anything mechanical on the car before, but I've got to give it a go if Im going to get the car ready for Japfest!!!!

Engine is in and running sweet as a nut, will post up pics tomorrow when i have relocated the washer bottle and put the bumper and lights back on.

Road tested her today and runs awesome, the boost has dropped to 13-14 for some reason, but i prefer it there till i can get the injectors :D

Couldn't get a tubby :no: :no: going to be another 2 weeks by the look of it. So looks like Japfest is out the window to :cry: :cry: CAn't see me getting the GT28RS fitted along with Nismo 555's, Z32 AFM, Apexi SAFCII, opps and the s/steel turbo elbow which has been hanging about since february and get it up to APT to get it mapped by the end of the month :no: :no: :down:

Ade turbo elbow and front pipe = 8 bolts. Even you should be able to manage to get your head round turning a bolt anticlockwise, then clockwise ;)

Turbo elbo aint as easy as it looks lol
Did mine on sunday, and it was a complete bugger of a job just gettig the heat shields off !
Ramp would make the job easier :nod:

Well i undid the down pipe from the std elbo first
Then got the ratchet on the bolts (turbo side) Remove the bracket that suports the elbo first to make life easier.
Then unplug the lamda sensor (no need to remove the lambda untill the elbo is off)
Once the heat shield's are off it's quite easy mate :)
my down pipe is welded on :wack: i couldn't get it off before and neither could chris :( the down pipe and elbow have to come off in one go

That aint a real problem mate :no:
If you are going to be changing the down pipe and elbo you can just take it off at the cat :)
Unbolt it from the cat and remove the suport bracket.
Then unbolt the elbo and persuade the whle lot out of there :)
Just dont forget to unplug the lambda and unclip the wiring :wack:
When re-instaling though, it will be easier to locate the new elbo on the turbo.
Then bolt the downpipe to the cat.
And then bolt the downpipe to the elbo.

undo the sump nut
watch it piss all over the floor
put a tray under it
watch the tray over fill
replace tray
empty sump
replace sump nut
work out how to undo filter (those machine mart things any good?)
add sandwich plate
add new filter
add new oil
check dip stick
tighten up oil cap
anything else needed in there?

Sounds about right to me mate :)
It might be easier to put something under the car that will catch the oil when the car is let off the jack.
So jack car up
place catch tray under sump plug
undo sump plug
drop car back to level.
You will get more of the old oil out that way as the sump will be level (if you are going to be doing it in your garage)
Best thing I have found for undoing the filter is a marigold glove ;)
But if it's well tight you might need to get a romval tool on it...
