Just went to put the kettle on for a cup of coffee and the kettle has packed up. Voltage there so no blown fuse. Element intact but not boiling water. How can I survive without my daily intake of a dozen cups of coffee? Have to spend more money now, but not on the car.

Has the kettle got a thermal cutout (little red button near where you plug the lead in?). Try pressing this.
