View Full Version : Help!
Are there any members in Bristol who would possibly come round to my place, so I could have a look at their car? I'm just putting mine back together, and I don't know where some bits go. I can't find out on the net either, or in either of my two 'manuals'. It would be so good to be able to look at another sx!!
I'm in Whitehall.
Well, if anyone fancies doing this, ring me on 07979990331
Cheers, Tom
Tom you're a bad bad man. Im sure Tim (FMG) is not too far from you, have you tried pm'n him?

we might even be able to help if you let us into the secret of the problem!
go on try us whats wrong with your car???
I bought it accident damaged, and a lot of it was already stripped. I've fixed the damage, but now I've got to figure out where everything goes.
I've pretty much done it now. Just a couple of things I'm not sure about:
a) Coming from the same bit of harness as the horn wires, there is a little box. What is it? Some sort of sensor? Airbag sensor? I'm not 100% sure where it goes.
b) I don't know what it is, but under the front air intake is some sort of coolant resevoir(??). I'm not sure what pipes attach to where. Anyone have any photos?
I'm pretty sure everything else is put back together right. It would just be nice to have a gander at another sx to confirm!
Cheers

Don't know how I missed this thread yesterday
From your description of the reservoir in the front wing that sounds to me like the Washer bottle  Despite having to remove mine while fitting my FMIC I can't for the life of me remember/describe the various hoses attached to it or where they live :o
Havn't got a clue about the Box on the wireing loom, could be part of the Alarm I suppose.
If you like I can pop over to you and let you have a look
I guess the weekend is best with you?
Oh, and what happened to the liner?
Hi Tim, Do I know you from UJCC? I haven't got a very good memory...
It would be good if you could pop round after work during the week. But don't worry if you're busy, I'm sure I can get the information by taking some photos and posting them on the forum. But it would be nice to see another S14a in the flesh! Where abouts are you?
I had to sell the liner because I was off work for 3 months with a broken wrist  Sick pay is sh1t! The 200 will be much more fun anyway!

Yup, can't remember if you were at the Combe trackday last year - but if you were I was in the Flying tractor that made mincemeat of all the GTS-t's ect :D
(although Garys GTR more than humbled me  :notworthy )
I can probably pop round later in the week - Thursday or Friday really as I'm normally busy for the begining half.
Oh, I'm up Yate way for my sins :whip:

Just noticed this (http://www.sxoc.com/vbb/showpost.php?p=1579129&postcount=14) in the welsh section, that should help explain the washer bottle a bit

I'll probably be going to see Hitch hikers with my mates on Fri, so would you like me to pop around tonight?
I normally finish eating around 7, so you'll have to guess at when I'll actually arrive with you :wack:
That'll be cool Tim. I'll see you later! :p
Thanks mate. That was spot on of you.
