dammit I have just got some funny looks for finding an AutoCAD drawing of a bridge funny enough to laugh at! :D
Even funnier looks when I started trying to catch flys at the windows...
Cheers, Phil
first photographic evidence of an up and running prototype surely wins a prize.. :)
i am using a lollypop stick and wasps instead of matches. wasps although appear to travel slower than the common fly, have more torque i reckon.

And deserve to die, nasty bastids are wasps.
Im gonna use bees / wasps and make a fighter bomber :D :D
fk it, lets get some pidgeons and a plank....
;)
Bees are useless. They are the insect worlds suicide bomber - They have a barbed sting that stays stuck in the target, and the bee dies shortly afterwards. They only live for 45-90 days depending on the time of year. They don't have enough strength to lift weight, and tire easily
Wasps have a good wingspan/mass ratio and accelerate well. The low top speed is caused by the relative instability of its thin body and very forward mounted wings.
Hornets are the best - they are insect worlds articulated lorries. Strong, Heavy but jeeeeeesuz if they sting you they make yer eyes water.

You're all wrong. Daddy Longlegs are the way forward, remove the legs and you'll have 4 torquey engines that will slap right onto the wings :D Will also allow the creation of a larger plane using lolly pop sticks or cooks matches :D

I've caught several (my dad is a beekeeper, and I've inherited his love of bees/wasps/hornets)
Hornets are actually pretty docile and will only sting if you really really wind em up. If they loose it however, they are vicious nasty evil bastids.
My dad keeps a small hornet colony and I had one sitting in my hand just the other weekend.
So there:p

Why does he keep Hornets? can you get hornet honey, evil looking things. once dug out a wasps nest and it was amazing, never seen anything built by animals that was so symetric and perfect. Nasty critters but great at *sums*:D and building.

oops finger trouble again. Just had a quick readup about hornets and found that they sometimes attack honey beas. not a good thing if he's keeping bees as well surley. get in there with the can of Raid mate ;)
It takes more than a can o Raid to stop a Hornet mate.
You ever seen one? They are fecking huge.
Minimum required to stop a hornet is a .22 Rifle.
I've hit onto silly mid-on with a cricket bat - I really really swiped it. Bastid thing just lay on the ground for a bit, then got up and fecked off.
Hard as Nails they are.
Got any hornet pics ? as I have never seen one... I dont think anyway. I bet your dad is right popular with the neighbours.
I bet they look forward to having a good old BBQ, In the winter:D
Quick edit, Its hornet pics not horny pics as I already have loads of them :D. But never enough !
