Got hit up the arse back in February this year, by what seems to be an uninsured driver. After going through the local court, only to be told that the papers were returned to the court with "not known at this address" on and "You must now attempt service yourself" (basically, thanks for the £80, we've stamped a few forms, sent them out and now we don't wanna know), I've contacted the MIB (not Men In Black btw:)).
Anyway, imagine how I feel having read the Q & A section inside the booklet they send you to fill out.
Q: What will happen after I return the completed from?
A: MIB will confirm receipt within 21 days and explain what action is being taken, which action will vary depending on the case and the information you have been able to supply. However, as well as investigating the amount of your claim, we must try and contact the uninsured motorist to obtain his account of the accident as well as his permission to intervene !!!
WTF??? Permission? Surely this little Fookwit has no rights whatsoever, apart from the right to a bloody good kicking!
Anyone sense my frustration!
Mate, you're a law abiding citizen, the law is there to protect the rights of the worthless, the scummy and the crooked. That's why you can't shoot someone who's entered your house illegally and about to rape your wife.
But never mind that, what about the footy eh..........

Didn't you know that its cheaper to drive without insurance and pay the pathetic fines if you get stopped or have an accident? e.g my insurance is £800 - the fine for driving without ins is usually about £200 - £300 !!!!!!!!!
Aint justice great!!!

actually, the fine should be £5,000, discretionary disqualification and 6 - 8 points on your licence.
The fine, as with everything a great many other fines in the Great British Justice System is based upon your ability to pay. So if you're a skiving git with no job and no intention of getting a job you'll be fined sod all. If you work hard you'll be punished by a much greater fine. Works with speeding too. My business partner was recently fined £450 for 85 on the M6. Only got 3 points but a higher fine than normal because he could "afford it!'.

Bloody right i feel your pain Dan, last april Igot hit by an un insured asshole who was (Get This) Driving a ****ty old cavalier with no tax, mot, or insurance he also had 6 people in the car which of course was 2 by the time the plod got ther ! Little **** tried to drive off too only the impact had burst both his front tyres!
He tried to then tell the police he was doing between 30 and 40 !!! yeah ok thats why i had to get out throuugh the window of my car then is it???
Must have intimidated the guy ( 6'5" of pissed off guy screaming abuse and crawling through the wreckage of what used to be a door!!)though cause he said he would pay and i managed to get him to cough up a grand for the car, but both me and the missus were injured with whiplash and are still suffering now.
the last offer was 2000 each but when you consider that we have spent nearly that on treatment!!!! but we are not giving up.
I fail to understand how the justice system can be called that because it does favour the criminal not the bloody victim
The laws need to be revised asap!!!
They are not good enough!
