Good day out that, many thanks to R.Sendout for the numerous passenger rides, and top marks to Mr TVR driver :)
Managed to get along for a couple of hours this afternoon to say hello and take some photos. Here's some good ones...

was a good day, i enjoyed watchin :wack: but next time i will have a go myself. some good drifting by midnight drifta, goood to meet some new people
Indeed a very pleasant way to spend an afternoon. I got loads of pics too. Will try and get the digi ones up tonight. The ones on film will be up once I get them developed...
EDIT: Although I had better add that the battery had gone in the light meter for my 35mm SLR, so a fair bit of guess work was involved. The film may be no good at all...

Totally enjoyed today, it was great fun, midnight drifta had some great laps
I didn't even mind so much when I tried to drive my car over a 3ft banking :smash:
I think in the morning once the beer wears off, I'll be inspecting the car very closely.
I have a load of pics that I will put a link up to as soon as poss.
I also have a short video taken in-car with midnight drifta, if it's not too big I'll post it up.
Time to change the text under your BB name, eh Steve?
(Working on my digital photos now...)
Gotta get on with something else now, so will post pics tomorrow, but there are a couple of gems...
I particularly like this one :)

yeh, I'm sure i'll get lots of suggestions when the photos are posted :D
Looks like another cracking Haynes day
Gutted I couldn't make it :(
Nicley,
Looks like they are getting into the whole drifting thing now (I know Phil Morrison had a test session there) does this mean we can start using it as drift practice next time?

What a fantastic day :D
Huge thanks to Rotaxmax125, if it wasnt for you I would not have been able to run :notworthy :notworthy :)
My Jesus handle is looking a bit worse for wear but it was worth it
Thanks to everyone who made today what it was :notworthy
My only slight complaint would be that my favourite track layout was changed early for reasons unknown to me  :(

What a day! Promised myself on the last two haynes track days I would get on the track with my own car (didn't own an sx at the time), and yesterday I finally came true on that promise.....
Can't wait to see some pictures as being an idiot running late i left the cam corder at home! not happy with that all...
Certainly learnt a lot on what the 200sx is capable of, and how relatively easy it is to do once the oversteer gets cured etc.. Just gotta keep waiting for the suspension mods now! Big thanks to Midnight drifter for the tips on getting the car to slide more, that was certainly the turning point in my day! two complete 360 spins I believe! but truthfully from that point on I felt a lot more in control of the car, finding that balance point and almost linkin the chicane to the big turn at the top of the track. Lol and a marshal told me I had set the grass on fire as well!
Hope that some peeps on here can come up with some cool pics, will be checking each and every hour!
Si.
PS "Algie - you really did miss out on an awesome day, gutted for you... really wanted to compare my driving to yours out on track. maybe at the next one yeah?"

Good afternoon guys, I was the chap with the Peugeot 306 that turned up and was with 'Steve 200sx'.
Thanks for putting on a cool day and making me welcome. :)
I enjoyed seeing how the 200's can go, even on such a short twisty circuit. I've been on that track a couple of times before myself and it was interesting to see how owners of other marques go about things.
Cheers to all those I nagged asking questions about the SX's, was good to learn a bit more about the cars and what they can do.
Oh, and it would seem that sideways is indeed rather a lot of fun, isn't it!
No wonder the drifting scene is taking off!

Looks like a top day out as uaual. Wish finances could've allowed me to come and take part :( Maybe next time :D
Just a big thankks to y'all for letting me crash your day and still making Ben and I welcome, you seem like a fun bunch, especially the Plymouth posse! I still haven't worked out who spoke to Declan and got me invited? Great afternoon, so I'm glad he did!, Gold star to Steve for drifter of the afternoon, shirly, and apologies to the owner of THAT cone...
Cheers, Dean (TVR powered Flymo)

Looked like a lot of fun
Just about recovered my energy from this now :)
Bllody amazing day, learnt so much about my car's handling yesterday... shame it was partly the hard way, and at the expense of some of the tyre wall :D Have a new respect of what she is capable of, just have to get her fixed again now.. and check out what is up with my abs :) Thank you to Midnight Drifter for the blag ride in his car, was an experience in its self.
And muchos thanks to Jeff, Nicely & the Dreamracers crew for getting the day organised & running it so smoothly. Am very keen to do this again in a few months :)
Oh - any chance of some photos of my ikkle baby? Want to see how bad the body roll was :) Also puts pay to the cries that yank cars can't corner :)
Hey guys, another well sorted day out and good to meet some old faces again as well as new ones. Just got back in as i went out on the lash in Yoveil last night, that was a top nite too but thats another story :D
Sorting a photobucket album out for all my digi pics, but it is taking a while cos the files are big, and it keeps timing out... Getting there though, and will post the link once I am done.
Don't know who the drivers are for the following though:
M257CCV
N373GLW
Guessing that one is andykaz, and the other is sorionuk1?

I had a good time as usual (despite not driving) nice to meet everyone, although there were yet more people I don't know/recognise :wack:
The ride in the Capri was a nice change and totally different to the 200's
And a big  to Deeen, the Trevor looked a right barsteward to control, but you put on a really good show  It also sounded lurvelly :smitten:

Oh, and what was it you where saying to me me today about the coments on my driving? :D
I think the comments were along the lines of - "he's got such a mint motor.. and doesn't use it to its potential :("

Was nice to see people and their cars in action .....i had to leave before the end because i got called away .....nature of my job which thankfully i won't be doing much longer.....start a new job beginning of May *yippeee*.
I will be posting links to the photos i have in the next few days.
Was a pleasure to meet and watch some fellow 200sx owners for a change instead of just waving as they pass me the other way on the M5.

Defo next time mate, consider yourself booked
I thought everyone knew American terminology of abreviations was diferent from ours
Obviously not  :p
Best fun I've had in ages  Made a nice change blatting round track without remotely worrying about breaking something. Quite the opposite really - at one point when it looked like the Capri might be leaving the track and heading up the bank me and Pete were just p1ssing ourselves laughing :D
Hats off to the chap in the red S14 :notworthy. Sir, you the least mechanical sympathy I've ever witnessed :notworthy :D ;)
Read the Guardian today! No really, G2 supplement, p15, full page about drifting with a pic of an S14 sideways at Haynes!

All pics finally uploaded - sorry for the delay all. Linky (http://photobucket.com/albums/y131/dj_C/)
I desperately need to invest in a zoom lens for my digital camera!
All pics are available in High Res format, approx 2.5MB per pic. Let me know the pic number, and I can email them to you.
I also took a load of pics on film, with a zoom lens. Unfortunately the battery in my light meter had died, so I was relying on guess work, but they might come out ok. I should be able to pic this up tomorrow, and paid extra for the CD, so I'll upload these also when I get a chance.

Hi Guys
Seems like you were having some fun out there, let me know next time & I'll bring my drifter along.
In case you were wondering I'm the one who leaves most of the drift line tyre marks there :D as I use it for practice & will be doing lots of demo's at Haynes during the summer.
Is that one of my DriftAcademy prodigy's out there in the red car?
See ya all soon

Hello  - first post here, though you may remember me as the chap in the hi-vis vest standing in some very silly places at Haynes with a camera...
I have finally got round to uploading all the pictures from all the track days - and there are a lot of them. As I don't know you all by name but by car instead, I have listed all the registration marks in the appropriate galleries.
:Plug: Vipernoir photos (http://www.vipernoir.co.uk/TrackdayPhotos.htm) :Plug:
As you will see, the :notworthy sideways men :notworthy always have the most pictures taken... unless of course you are in a yank-tank with no brakes... :)

Here's a link to some of the photos i managed to take on the day.
It's taken me a while to sort them out for posting because i've had to reduce
the quality and file sizes to upload to the host site.
Sorry i don't have pics of all the cars that took part.....really must remember
to put a bigger smartcard on my shopping list.
Hope you get some enjoyment from them....untill next time dudes
