Bren, I want some of these...

Eccentric Bolts for Camber Adjustment
These eccentric bolts replace your stock strut to spindle bolts and allow for camber adjustment on the 240SX.

S13 (1989-1994) Front Camber Bolt Kit (12mm). . . . . $25.00/pair

From this page.
http://www.pdm-racing.com/products/suspension.html

And some of these

Whiteline T/C Rod Bushings

One of the most troublesome bushings on the 240SX and 300ZX, this silicone filled "donut-shaped" bushing which is pressed into the Tension Control rod, is one of the first bushings that wears out. When it fails, the viscous filling will leak out, and corrode your front suspension's paint finish, and will cause erratic steering (especially at highway speeds). The front end will also make a "clunk" noise when you make tight turns. Fix the problem with these Whiteline replacement bushings.

SPF1202K TC Rod Bushings ... $40.00

From this page.

http://www.pdm-racing.com/products/suspensiontc.html

How much is that likely to be?

Also just a price for now for...
Front Lower Control Arm Bushings

Combine these polyurethane bushings with the t/c rod bushing to eliminate slop from your front end. Keep contact with the road by maintaining proper front end geometry.

240SX (S13 1989-1994)
Front Lower Control Arm Bushings (SPF1009K) . . . . . $50.00/pair

Those of you who want braces, do you want PDM or Whiteline?

Ill do everthing thats pre-ordered at a very good price. Bare in mind that anything that I keep in stock will be more exspensive to justify having capital tied up so if you want something youre far better off getting it now than later.

Not trying to be pushy, just want to pre-empt any complaints about the price differences by explaining the reasons behind them :)

bren
12-06-2002, 12:16
I will keep the prices as low as possible but you lot need to be aware that theres several additions to the basic price.

To start with youve got shipping. Normally on an item like a strut brace this would be more than the brace itself, around $55. Then youve got import duty on the price or the product AND shipping and insurance. On a brace the import duty is 4% but it can go upto 9% depending on the product.

Then youve got VAT at 17.5% ontop of the total purchase price, shipping and insurance and duty!

Ill keep the prices as low as possible but even with the savings on shipping Il make by bringing a load of stuff over at once you should be aware that you wont be getting a brace for $40!!

Did u sort some prices for us m8?

bren
20-06-2002, 11:59
Im working on them now. Its more difficult than youd imagine because Ive got to convert all the prices into £s, figure out shipping, add import duty and vat and then divide the shipping costs amongst the various items. Then Ive got to work out a reasonable markup and compensate for those who will decide they dont want the parts after all which will result in relative increased shipping costs for each item in the consignment. Phew!! LOL :D

Im on it now though :)

Papa Lazarou
20-06-2002, 12:19
And it still won't work out quite right after all that ;) I think thats why most companies over here add such a healthy margin for error....

Wouldn't it be easier to get a deposit of people ?
Give them a week to pay it or stuff is not ordered that way if they then cancel you keep the cash :)

bren
20-06-2002, 12:46
Papa,

You hit the nail on the head. It only takes one or two faulty products to come through to feck up the whole thing! That is exactly why companies place what appears to be such a large mark up on the goods. When you consider the hassle involved and the various problems that always arise then the mark doesnt seem so greedy at all.

Im still going to keep the prices as low as possible though :)

David,

I will have to take part of full payment up front as theres a lot of people wanting stuff and Im not laying out for it all myself if Im making very little on it :) Im also bringing a load of stuff over to keep in stock and couldnt lay out for everything anyway as the final bills going to be pretty bit ;) :)

Richie
20-06-2002, 13:16
Bren a way around paying import duty (10%) and VAT (17.5%) is to get the company to send it all over as a sample this way you will save 27.5%. Trust me it works I have done it myself and it doesn't matter how big an order it is.

Bren,

This thread has got quite long now from a combination of people ordering, and the pricing as its from the US.

My question is - is it going to be cheaper from you than if we got them ourselves, or is this just making it easier for us to get them - ie we dont have to work out tax etc???

Obviously, you are going to want to make a profit - you wouldnt be in the business if you didnt, and Im assuming your gonna get a discount for being a trade / buying in bulk, but is the discount verses profit gonna make the deal better for us?

bren
27-06-2002, 09:26
Stu,

I you bought the parts yourself then youd pay a chunk more than you would if you buy them in the group arrangement because the carriage you pay will be so much higher.

Even if you fecked me off and arranged the group buy yourselves then youd still end up paying virtually the same amount because I get a trade discount. Ive also got a contract with a courior company in the UK so the internal carriage costs for anything over 2 kilos will be lower with me that youd pay yourselves.

StuyMac

Sorry Bren, you misunderstood me a little, and maybe I have misunderstood the P&P costs.

I didnt know what sort of discount you got for bulk buying, so thought Id cover all bases by asking the question - sorry if it came out as sounding like we where gonna gib you off and do our own GB :(

bren
27-06-2002, 10:13
The carriage costs on anything from a strut brace upwards are considerable. The brace itself is only $40, carriage on the brace sent by itself is around $64!!

Obviously rthe more products that are brought over at once the cheaper the carriage costs are. Thats why I cant give a definate price on the products until Dom gets me a firm price on carriage for the goods people are after. :)

Not heard back from PDM yet, they are waiting on Whiteline bushes and short shifetrs.

Im going to split the order, Ill post the details soon :)

bren
11-07-2002, 12:20
Its just not possible to work out accurate shipping costs without getting a precise order so Im going to have to guestimate prices somewhat.

The spoilers and bodykits cost a fortune to ship because when a package gets above a certain size the shipping companies work out the weight of the product based on volumetic weight rather than actual wight.

This means that a bodykit weighing just 35 kilos will get charged based on a volumetric weight of 138 kilos!!

The addition of just one extra body kit can double to total shipping cost so theres no way to accurately work out shipping.

Im just going to work it out based on the last consignment.

So, the prices will be as follows:

Whiteline:

S13 front camber bolt kit £28.78
SPF 1202K TC Rod bushings £42.88
SPF 1009K lower front control arm bushes £53.60
S13 Anti roll front £150
S13 Anti roll rear £150
S14 Anti roll front £150
S14 Anti roll rear £150
S14 front camber bolt kit £26.79
Rear camber bushes £64.29
S13 spring kit £214
S13 rear strut brace £107.14

Lights:

S13 driving lights £96.44
S13 clear front indicators £32

Misc:

SSR Performance Racing Oil Catch Tank £80.40
3" MAS adater with Nissan bolt pattern £16
OBX Shortshifter £90.76
PDM front strut brace £60
Moog tie rod ends £68.80 a pair

Bodykits:

Im going to have to try and sort someway of pricing shipping on these, Ill get back with prices asap.

So have u decided bout billing yet Bren?
And btw did that extra samco hose (purple3 or 5mm) come through yet?
And what sort of stuff will u be bringing?

And when do u want payment for the braces?
can u get front and rear btw? or just front?

Mitch,

Why dont you go for a Saab ic and get the pipework to suit that? You might as well kill two birds with one stone :)

Ill have to look into standard pipework as its not something that anyones asked for so I dont have a design for them.

Denso Iridium high performance IQ24s will set you back £42 :)

Nik,

Didnt get chance to order the stuff yesterday but will do today :)

Ivan,

No probs :)

Kev,

I need to get a stall sorted this week. If I can rush it through it time then Ill be standing. Having said that I intend to be there either way, although if I cant park my Cossy in the main enclosure then Im going in our Pug turbo diesel estate work horse wrecker type vehicle!

I got some purple hose through yesterday but Ive lost it!! Where the feck is it?? Anyway, Ill get it out to you on Mon to arrive Tuesday :)

Whiteline rear braces are £107 if thats any good? PDM are developing a batch but they arent ready :(

No need Bren, if ur coming to Billing then ill get it off u then.
Id rather have two braces the same Bren so ill just have the pdm front, and ill wait for them to develop another for the rear.

Bren, is it too late?

I met Mr. Jibber at Billing and he promptly handed me over his old strut brace.
What a very very very nice man :D :D :D

So i dont actually need a front brace anymore.

If u have ordered them, then ill take one, but if not, can u cancel it for me?

Dont worry, im sure ill spend the money on something else of urs anyway:rolleyes: :D

Bren, I'm going to order some bits (all rear subframe bushes and Anti-Roll bars) directly from Whiteline as they only take 4 days to arrive and PDM are taking the piss with this so can you cancel the bits I ordered please.

Cheers,
Jezz.

Si,

No, they are coming from Japan but should be on their way now :)

Nick and Rich,

Sorry about the delay. After waiting weeks for PDM to get everything we needed in stock I mailed them to sort payment and some fecker in Germany had bought the entire consignment of OBX shifters

Everything was back in stock last week and the orders gone through so the parts should be on their way now :D

On their way, nice one Bren!
I'll be able to do the bars & shockers in one go, good thing too, driver's rear has *stopped* leaking fluid.
Doh! :o
