Just been checking the Dreamracers web site, which lists the current events they have for the rest of this year... Including the last event for this year..

Don't see any other SXOC slot days etc. just a few open days etc and a mini club run thingy...

does that mean that unlike last year there won't be two events? hope not, the Haynes days are awesome fun... surely we could get another event in place for something like october or something?

hope as a club we can work something out on this...

Would anyone be interested in going to one of the open days there if we cannot get a club thing going? £45 for the day, appears same format as the SXOC days...???

Si.

No doubt we will be having another later in the year as it is a popular event :) Nicely and I will get back to you with a date before too long

Our days are usually arranged ad hoc rather than using their pre booked slots. :)

that is really good news to here, I noticed last time there was concern about filling the slots etc, but apart from that is there any reason why the haynes days could not be say 3 or 4 times a year? I guess there may be more involved, I dont mean to cause any offence etc etc was simply wondering..

Despite the initial and post enthusiasm for these track days, when it comes to stumping up the money, people drop like flies. People also develop car probs and other committments (me included). Three or four times a year is stretching it I feel...

There are other club track days such as Japfest and Trax. There are also club drift days for those inclined.

If these events were opened up to non-members, I'm sure they would fill more easily. However, this isn't going to happen, except as a last resort. They are, after all, club events for club members and not BB members.

Saying that, I have enquired about available dates in August/September. :)

Well as soon as the next day is confirmed, consider my money heading your way, I had a right blast (though still waiting for any pics of my car on the track..), it was the only reason I bought my car for! ;)

I'll have you know the "mini club run thingy..." will be a most splendid day indeed.
Okay, we won't be as sideways as you guys on purpose but we will still have much fun and excitement, and I am sure I will be running away from some spinning cars while keeping my finger on the shoot button...

While we were at Haynes Dreamracers mentioned to me about the opportunity for a race instructor to attend the next sxoc event. This would involve laps with the bloke showing you how to lap the place properly and having him in the passenger seat to give you some instruction.

I people are interested in this then let us know. I imagine tips will be on how to get round the track faster but help on getting even more sideways might also be available ;)
