Ive got another car, but JB Wont be happy!

Well, due to the total lack of economy shown by the Nissan a few weeks ago (120miles on a tank of gogo juice), and the fact I want to keep milage down etc, etc, I went out and bought me a little ol' run around, but Like I said JB Wont like it http://300zx.co.uk/200sx/ubb/wink.gif

Its an XR2, "F" reg, white, Immaculate inside, very very good outside, great engine with no smoke, new tyres, T&T, and a nice little car for the £400 I paid for it. I looked at a few and they where all dogs, but this is a really tidy one.

The way I look at it is that it is cheap and cheerful, fairly nippy little motor, fight with the wheel in the wet http://300zx.co.uk/200sx/ubb/biggrin.gif as FWD is hard to get used to again.

id be gutted with 120 miles to a tank!! I used to have an XR2 as a runabout, innit weird the way the throttle seems to click when you push it hard and makes the little thing leap toward the horizon? ok ok... it kinda goes louder.

or was mine just broke??!

Seriously though, it's not the car but the sort of people who drive it.

The hesitance on the XR2's is the 2nd choke on the carb coming in, Im gonna get some bigger jets for it though and that should smooth it off a little and give a bit more power.

Commenting on the mileage, I've only got 200 miles out of er.. 3/4's the tank - I'm not supposed to take it below the last white marker because the uprated fuel pump supposedly doesn't pick up fuel well under that. I'll describe this in another entry...

I think the reason Ive done it is cos I love the car so much, and not because I hate it and dont want to drive it. Im trying to save the milage on her, and all other components as everytime I go out, I just cant resist squeezing the loud pedal http://300zx.co.uk/200sx/ubb/biggrin.gif and having a bit of a play.

No Ive got the XR2 I can go out and have a play in that without feeling guilty of giving the car some stick.

As for the wing, well, Im still trying to get it sorted, tonight is the dead line for this lad who hit me to pay up, so If he dont come up with the cash ....... http://300zx.co.uk/200sx/ubb/mad.gif
