Speed Camera

I just got a double wammy in the face from a GATSO going into Saltford Nr bath.

It was on the opposite side of the road facing me (30 zone) and as I was doing about 38. Is this legal or was it fecked. :eek: was what they took a snap of.

It will have been taking pics of something going the other way. If not it is fecked.

I think if you go fast enough you can set the ones on the other side of the road off. Great fun...

Have heard a vicious rumour that it's common practice for bikers go onto to wrong side of road especially to set the camera off and so use the film up. :D

Anybody heard or done this? (alledgedly) ;)

i read somewhere that if it flashes you on-coming then its a dummy camera, just my 2p worth

Gatso cameras will be activated in both directions, film or no film. If it gets activated when you are travelling towards it, it has just been badly set up, as by the time the second flash goes, your number plate is out of view. I'm always setting the things off cos theres loads down here, my mate does it on his bikeand sticks his finger up :D

That camera does work Cheekee, and some cameras CAN get u in both directions......but not that type :D

There seems a little consensus and correct me if im wrong but is it illegal for the a person to be prosecuted for a frontal speed camera, ie doesnt it always have to catch u from behind.......oooooooooh er missus?????

ps i know of persons who remove thier plates completely as the fine for a missing plate is cheaper than losing the licence
