ITS HERE......... a on the shelf SR20DET fast road engine in stock and ready to fit in a day.
would be sold on exchange basis and cost would be £3200 inc fitted providing your exchange engine wasnt completey knacked ie cams and crank not fit for the bin.
spec is:
recon head,
metal headgasket,
forged pistons,
new timing chain and tensioner,
lightened and balanced bottom end,
lightened flywheel,
recon oil pump,
new main bearings,
new big end bearings,
new thrust washers,
new nissan gasket kit,
etc......
but once the first one sold we will need to do exchange one ready for next customer so be quick :Plug:
Gary me old mucker, how much just for a bottom end rebuild with pistons, pump, chain, all bearings and tensioner? I think you know where Im coming from son , eh, eh? :D
£3200? Is this a regular thing Gary? I think I've just worked out what to spend my bonus money on at the end of contract ... :D :D
It's as regular as when this one is sold, the exchange lump will be rebuilt to full spec - just like Gary says oop there :D
and that price includes fitting too if my english skills are up to scratch... Gary, put me on the waiting list or something, I'll call you the minute the bank account hits the magic number :D
They is sweet :smitten:

Gary , what sort of compression do these engines run?
If its not much lower, could you email me or pm me a quote for a lower compression exchange. is 7:1 too low?
what sort of power
would this engine be able to produce/withstand?
cheers
winty
p.s if theres another thread with details elsewhere than sorry in advance :o

these engines with the correct size turbo can run between 350-400bhp.
as for comp ratio they are lower comp but only by 0.5,
we can do a low comp engine but we have engines running high bhp at a normal level of comp
let me know what you need

Well my engine just now ur running about 375bhp with a gt2871R and im only running 16psi at the top end , so if I lower the compression to 7:1 I was told I could then run the higher boost at the top end and get 400+ bhp and a much quicker car :)
Peak boost I hit in the mid range just now is only 1.3 then lowering it to 16psi after about 5500 revs so its making good power for the boost its on
I take it you would have injectors and stuff in the engine just use the turbo we supply?
I am running 550s just now so would it need to be 740s you had in it?
Basically just a quote for a fast road engine with lower comp that can handle higher boost at the top end for me.
Gary, are you still doing these and are they still £3200 all-in fitted? I've got a lumpy engine but it's still driveable so it might be time for a new one :D unless it's something simplish....
Cheers, Steve.

yep we still doing them,
at the moment we have 1 fast road stage 1 in stock ,will soon be a stage 2
will post details soon
Excellent!
It looks like I have a dodgy piston ring on one of my cylinders so it's the excuse I need for a rebuilt engine :D
Sounds like a stupid question, but with my "Jez Stage 2" chip and various mods, does that mean I need a Stage 2 engine? :wack:
And what if I want to up-it-a-bit later this year...
Also, are you happy to swap out for an engine with a problem like mine?
Also, what prices, lead times, etc. (I know you said you'd post details, it's just that I've got a bit keen all-of-a-sudden  )
Cheers, Steve.

best to give me a call mate
Ok. I'll call you on Monday from work.
Just out of interest how much for the engine if I fit it myself? Would have another engine to send you way. When I got my current engine running right I will be thinking more on the power side of things then.

very, very tempted ... Have a GT3071 turbo in though so I guess I'd need the stage 2 engine for around 450/470bhp? Or would this engine be OK for that amount?
Bren
We run the GT2871R on our drift car and its running 373@ 1.7 bar. If you want 420 then the GT3071 0.86 will be pushed at that level, youll be having to run around 1.85 bar.
450-470 would probably be around 2-2.2 bar thats a lot of pressure, although I think some yanks are doing it, might be worth checking freshalloy to see what they have in their engines. Possibly sensible to add some conrods.
