5 months offf the road, rebuilt bottom end, new gear box, and the bitch started 1st turn of the key :smitten:
Haven't had a test drive yet (cos the neighbours have decided to park 3 cars in front of my drive  ) but at least the engine works now :D
Doubtful if I can arrange MOT, tax and insurance by Saturday (and finish putting all the bits back together :wack: ), but it would be nice to up the numbers for the S13's :D (Where are you Barry ???)
Edit:cos I used too many smilies apparently - can't think why :wack:

Cool meet, reminds me why the joy of owning a performance nissan is more then the sum of its parts :D
Tom/Phil
Re boost got 10-7psi on the way home. Noted the number of threads visible on the bren then took it apart, put a very thin smear of lithium grease on the ballbearing and refitted in the same way. Did a quick run and i'ts back to 14.5 psi. I think I,ll leave it alone for now, if it goes a bit lazy again I'll wait and see if it rights itself. Thanks for the advice ;)

My car failed the MOT miserably :annoyed:
N/S/F outer chassis corroded to excess, O/S/F floor corroded to excess, O/S/R floor corroded to excess, N/S/R brake pipe corroded to excess, O/S/M outer sill holed within seatbelt mounting area, corrosion at rear petrol tank mounting :annoyed: Rust, Rust. bloody rust :annoyed: Anyone know a good (cheap!) welder :wack:
After all the work I've put in over the last few months, I feel like giving in

Same here :D
Got all the kit at work, but no-one to use it. Last welder we had was really good - he replaced all the inner and outer sills for my last MOT for next to nothing, so thought it would fly through this time. Just all the bits he didn't do have gone now :wack:
Guess I'll have to get a new shell - shame, cos it's taken me 2 years of bloody hard work to get it looking how it does now :annoyed: I should have done more to the bits you can't see :smash:

What a pain in the ass ! :annoyed:
What a pain in the ass ! :annoyed:
 but sod it. The 40 mile drive "to and from" the mot centre ;) made me sure its worth doing.
Just need a shell with good bodywork and a shagged engine and swap all the good bits over from mine :D
Seen a few possibles already :) Only prob is transporting them back to my place - how did you get yours back to Ad's?

Ramp; sorry to hear about the body, good luck in your search for a new shell.
Olly; James at my works mentioned that somone he knows just got an S13. He says he knows you, so I guess thats the same one. Look forward to the meets getting bigger possibly ;)

Cheers I'll give them a try
Alright PMC , yeah it must be the same person. He is picking it up friday, it will be intresting finding out what he thinks of it. The guy that bought it used to own a RB5 imprezza and has recently perchased a Astra GTE which is on carbs :) (animal). He is in the process of rebuilding his cosworth and needs something to buy the time, however he has said that its a car that he has wanted for a while and now he has one. I'am not sure how it will compare to the other but then again its all about having fun
After all the work I've put in over the last few months, I feel like giving in
Or maybe I'll just buy a few more :D
