I thought he was doing quite well in not moaning until 10:00...

Though everybody must have decided to do a bit of work for an hour or so by the look of it 'cos the board has been a bit quiet.

Starion: You are only there to earn money right? Think of the things that suffering working there gets you

eg. not 1 but 2 RWD Jap monster turbo cars, more cheese than you can eat, and access to have a moan on here whenever you want! :) It could always be worse.

But there is always another job. I have worked in the same place for 11 years (since leaving school at 18) and have often thought "I'm pissed off, but what else could I do?" and felt trapped.

But have recently started working at weekends for another company and it makes you realise that if you have half a brain there will always be another job. It may be crap as well, but you can't have everything :)

I would get something lined up before you quit though - far more satisfying if/when you do tell them to stick it. It also seems easier to get a job when you already have one.

Plus I'm trying to get off caffine, trying to resist cheese LOL and out of painkillers

Let me add in stress that is making me ill, a rapidly decreasing sense of self worth, stagnation of my creative ability, being so knackered and depressed when i get home I don't feel like doing anything?

When I worked at Virgin I was as busy as now, as much stress, easily if not more some days. But, I got home tired:
"That was a good days' work. Todays work will build a base for the work of tomorrow." Yes I was tired. Yes I got exhausted.

Here:
"That was a crap days' work" Why? My writing is good. My clients are generally delighted with my work. I work hard, I work fast, I work on time to deadline and space restrictions. I do everything right but it is never a good days work.
Today will never build for tomorrow. Yes, I know every day expands my profile by another 6 or so pieces. But there is no time to do a Good Job. I dod a job that everyone is happy with. That isn't good enough.

Sorry for whinging guys, I do appreciate the support. :)

Calm down mate. Its just a job, nothing is stopping you from finding another. You work most of your life, you may as well find one that you enjoy doing.

My god I think I've found my exact Mental Double (I'm not calling you mental by the way starion) Your life is soooooooo like mine. I currently have no reason to get out of bed other than going to work or fixing cars, I have a job which pays me more than I could ask for from anywhere else, as I'm under qualified, and my experience is very specialised, and I really need to get out of that place before I go Insane.

I hate to admit it but I need a woman to sort my life out and give me a reason to bother getting out of bed

Only thing is my job doesn't pay more than elsewhere - considerably less in fact. IN the order of 3-4grand in fact :(

You need a woman to give you reason to get OUT of bed??? I thought that was reason for getting in...
