Just joined SXOC and am awaiting my first message from some intelligent beings. I am asuming you are out there. My boyfriend owns S13 which he stupidly allows me to drive too:eek:
He says I should buy one of my own but then again that surely would be stupid don't you think? I mean at the mo I am using his petrol, his wheels, his brakes etc etc...

:D :D :D Byeeeeeeee!

Hi Stella and welcome

Why not get him to buy you one of your own (cough S14) and then let him fill it up/modify/etc it for you and have the best of both worlds :)

Ps. intelligent beings? on ere? u must be joking!

i could be wrong but i think it`s a reference to The Hitchhicker`s Guide To The Galaxy, the answer to the ultimate question is 42 but what was the question asked in the first place??

There is a theory that if both the answer and the question were both known in the same universe at the same time, the universe would disappear and be replaced by something even *more* confusing and incomprehensible.

There is another theory that suggests this has already happened...

That is what Deep Thought 2 was created to find out before being thwarted by the Vogans in the last 5 minutes.

Typical, you wait millions of years, get all your expectations up and
its nearly here
its coming
its so close now

BOOOMM

Thanx for the welcome and an interesting debate on the question of 42. i'm sorry if i started something here but i only just
remember HG2TG as a young girlie and therefore cannot remember the full question. Just mentioned it as i enjoy a bit of
sci-fi. My fav being Red Dwarf, time for another debate methinks?
My most fav episode has to be QUEEG but they are all great.

Does Cheekee really have big er....tits? Did vote but chose to vote for 'others' as mine are a handsome size...well my boyfriend seems to think so anyway;) ;)

Welcome Young Lady.

Some of us are sane on the board.

Well perhaps us older ones are.

I just thought, if I was sane what am I doing here?

Barry.

[/B]

Sadly he died:(

It`s been a while now but wasn`t Deep Thought given the task of working out the answer to life the universe and everything and it came up with the answer 42 so they made another supercomputer called earth to work out what exactly the original question was? oh crap i`m getting all confused now and my ex nicked my book!!

Starionman you are such a namedropper. thought i'd find out who else you claim to know who is famous.

Anyone else know famous people?

I went to the same school as Kenneth Brannagh (tossser from Henry V and other such crappy films)

I have also met Gary Glitter - but thats another story

When he activated the improbabilty drive to escape the intercepting missiles. The results were a redecorated interior to the heart of gold and the missiles becoming a sperm whale and a pot of petunias (who said "Oh no, not again").

If all this geek talk hasn't frightened Stella of then she has passed the initiation to Board.:D

Saw this thread late but...

One of the mice came up with "how many road must a man walk down?" (not "cross")

They have released HGTG on DVD? That one slipped past me.

OK Sci-Fi geeks, think you know the books: What was the name of the bowl of pertunias in their final reincarnation?

Oh and hello Stella... :)

Cheers, Phil

EDIT to add: Wonderous globes? Where dammit!?!
