I'll be there... but only to provide moral support and a bootfull of tools
Me too :D Must find a way of getting traction tho :annoyed:
my advice would be to go on the grass next to the strip. its a grippier surface than the strip. :wack:
i'd like to go, but after the grip levels being so shit last time, i'm not going to bother with Santa Pod anymore.
good luck guys. remember to turn the boost down, anymore than 5psi will mean no tracton. :whip:
you think the scrabblers wont suffer with grip too? :wack:
not as much. all there weight is over the front wheels. this is normally a bad thing, but with the piss poor grip on offer at santa pod, they won't be able to launch hard enough for the weight to transfer the the back wheels. neither will the 200sx's, so we will just be spinning up whilst they'll be going steady but surely.
i got hammered off the line and beaten on the 60ft by a 106GTI, 205GTI, Astra, Mitsubishi Colt and a Saxo. it wasn't my lunching technique either, i was going from as low as 2500rpm on some launches.
if its as slippy as it was when i went, you'll be dissapointed guys :(

if u get beat by a 106gti of the line there your doing something wrong. Remember they have just as slippy surface as you to deal with!!

I agree with escy last time we had a sx vs coupe day my brother did a 2.00 sec 60ft in his scrabble wagon which i believe no 200 sx came close [even the lads with traction control]and that was on a red hot day

Theres a dude on here that got a 2.001s 60ft with stage 1 mods.
I'm certainly a long way from the perfect launch on stage 1 ... and still got a 2.2
http://www.sxoc.co.uk/vbb/attachment.php?attachmentid=12363
There are loads of 200's that have pulled 2 or less, mine and Daniel Sans are two that spring to mind ;)
And the joy of having a slushbox too, it matters not on grip at the start, its once all the toys kick in when the rims are turning that matters :D

the guy im talking bout was a stage 1 s13 for 2.00 60ft so 230-240bhp - think he got 14.3 @ 98.
I got 2.211 60ft time with 190-200hp, as my car was blowin like mad n standard exhaust / 13psi s13!!!!
Im hoping to get 2 or less with 275bhp
mr2's kaine the 1.8s pretty easy!! they do have big advantage tho.

Methinks me and you need to have a shootout of the scrabblers :D
You'll have to keep your current wheels and tyres though to keep things fairly even :D
i can make this i think, see if i can do any better than last time
should be able to make this. hope to show up the scrabblers! ;)

what time is this starting?
Does anyone with coilovers change their damping settings for drag runs? If so how do you change them, up or down and why?? Obviously for drag runs you oughta have softer rear springs but we can't all afford to change them for this so what if anything can be done to improve grip etc??
i ran full soft on the back with tein he's which isnt really soft, also streched tyres dont work well, you want fat tyres with about 20 psi in i found.

I didnt need one last time, but will be taking it to be on the safe side.
me and my dad will definately be coming now cos i'm picking my car up from apt tomorrow.
apparantly it's maxing out 740cc injectors at 1.8 bar boost and does over 100 in third - so watch out coupes ;)

Maxing out 740's is about 500+ bhp isn't it?
possibly, but i reckon high 400's. hopefully in a couple of months i can afford to have some cams put in to stretch the rev range a bit.
jim - donations always appreciated ;)
now all i gotta do is get the kit fitted and it'll look good too!!

Dan
lots ;) depends what on - the bodykit cost 3 grand and that was cheaper than the engine work. not to mention sound system, ancilliaries, turbo, manifold, gearbox, fmic/rad........

 over 300bhp as he turned the boost up :)
one of the scrabbles got 13.3 with 294bhp !!
and it's the atw figure that's important as FWD has less losses. And all these figures floating around around at the crank "guesstimates"
so what happened?... who got killed by scrabble....
I won 3/4 of my Races :D :D
13.901 with 2.2 60ft was my best, previos PB of 13.897 with 2.2 60ft.
I beat one of the fiat's in the 220-250 bracket (T535) and got beat by Nigel's uber-quick "scrabbler" so 1-1.
Also beat a **** (hadyn) and an Audi A8 but got mullered by some drag car when my rev counter stopped working.
So did we win or lose? :D
From what they are saying over at the FFCUK board...we won :D

That Audi is  , a mate of a mate owns it, its only a 4.2 so is quite slow really when it lugs around 2tons.
