Bren, just after our conversation i got a call from the bodyshop telling me i need a subframe.....fook there goes my apexi fmic for another month. However may i redeem myself as i need to replace 2 alloys and tyres i may as well go the whole hog. can you check price and availability on the following, in order of preference....4 of. BK racing BK238 7-spoke in silver 17" with Goody f1's 215's to suit. FOX Racing 6 (5 spoke) in silver 17" same tyres. Or OZ Superleggera's as very last resort.

Cant you live with Toyos? Excellent dry and wet weather grip but considerably cheaper than F1s. Not quite upto F1 standards and certainly dont last as well but like I say F1s are now exspensive :(

Bren, I'm lookin for some new tyres soon.. I've seen some Michelin Pilots for £88 all in but I'd prefer some Toyo's how much are they?

BK238s and Fox 6 with Toyos would be £710. Superleggeras would be £900.

If you want the rims with F1s then add £100 to the prices

Paul,

215x40x17 Toyos are £75. What size do you need?

...m8, let's be honest....i need all the grip i can get... £100 more is better than buying yet another subframe, etc..etc.....i fancy the Bk's any idea if they're readily available, or do the need to run a set?

Toyos are a very grippy tyre but if you want F1s I aint gonna argue no more ;)

A little story for you though. I got my hands on four of the absolutely sublime Bridgestone Potenza S02s and whapped them on my Rover just over a month ago. Three weeks ago some low life put a knife through two of the sidewalls

What do you think I replaced them with, Toyos or F1s ;) Yep, Toyos. And Ive got to say they are very very good. Cant say yet if they are as good as F1s just yet as Ive not done enough miles but theyre pretty damm close. Initial impressions are very good and they certainly p1ss all over Yokos and the like :)

But if you want F1s youre the boss, makes no difference to me :)

Ill find out what sort of lead time were looking at on the BKs and will let you know asap :)
