View Full Version : Drift practice at Oulton pk
from previous post, I have had a meeting with Phil the circuit manager at Oulton park, re drift practice in the large paddock area, and unfortunatly due to the noise levels and even if the paddock area is wetted down first, they take in to consideration the locals who are somewhat difficult :censored: , Oulton will not take the chance of complaints, so Oulton park is out of the question for drift practice.
Sorry guys i tried.
:( shame, ah well thanks for trying mate,
Oh well, not exactly unexpected though. Nice one for trying
What is it with peons that want the quiet life, so move next to a race track instead of buying a bungalow in the middle of no where like most normal sensible people do?
f**k em i say, you move near an air port you get noise, you move near a racetrack you get noise.

Hi, have you ever been to Oulton Park? it's one of the most beautiful circuits in the country. Have some respect for the owner's cautious approach towards a precious venue.
That said, Is it not possible to run quiet competition tyres, and drift any circuit. Surely the problem with organising drifting events in this country is that the drifters have yet to be educated that you can't do this on the cheap. Pay a proper entry fee, buy proper tyres. Show the circuit owners that you can do this without upsetting everyone, or damaging the surface, and get them a profit in the process, then they may take notice.
