Put me on the list mate, will have to meter my exhaust first though
If anyone else wants there exhaust checked, I have a sound level meter
Nicely: Do you know what RPM and distance the reading is taken at?
Can me & Jeff run the Capri (as in actually run it this time!?) :D

Yep definitely interested
Nicely: Do you know what RPM and distance the reading is taken at?
Probably around the usual (4000 I think). There was a restriction last time, but no measurements were taken.
Can me & Jeff run the Capri (as in actually run it this time!?) :DI think 200s would be preferrable....
Crap - bet this would have been a right laugh, but my potential new rims and tyres have fallen through so i'm not sure if i can afford it :(
Certainly will be spectating mind :)

yey! and i've got the week of the 4th off to prep her- i'm excited! although standard prefacelift brakes and suspension will be fun: we'll see just how bad it is  oh i may bring my old man as an extra driver that ok?
question- i take it my old school 'goose is quiet enough?

Nicely... you might want to edit post #4 ;)
Copied the original thread, closed it and pointed to this sticky.

Give me a chance! Had a lot to do on the thread.
Work harder and faster :whip:
:D
So i have about 4 weeks to sort my brakes out... errr, yikes!
I'm never gonna get new suspension sorted out before this :D Gonna be a big fat wallowy car going round the track all over the shop I fear :)
Looks like I need to get some more car park practice time booked in, as I currently suck at any slidey action! Might need some pointers off Nicely & Algie before the event :notworthy
Also gonna need to put aside a couple hundred quid for new tyres afterwards
i guess they wouldnt like it if i drifted it then, not really interested if i have to go in a straight line all the time,
Those photos of Kirky ^^^ were taken at the last Haynes Day.
Its NOT a drift day. However, Dreamracers were very flexible in their acceptable driving policy. :D Don't take the pi$$ and it usually fine.
Also, there are four different layouts throughout the day. They are far from being straight line. :D
can you put me on the reserve list then, i dont intend to fully drift it its just my car is that way inclined how its setup and it a bit of a handful.
Stick us no the reserve list. Jolly's bound to drop out and if me car's ready (Ha!), I'll take his space. We don't want to see a Primera driving round although it does drift well ;) Either that or I'll run JC's Cinqy :p

Wolfe is right, I am definately up for it (thanks for getting me on the list wolfe! Will have to let you drive the s14 to say thanks :) ), when do we send the money to you Nicely? need an address etc, cheque is cool right?
Soooo looking forward to this, 3rd Haynes day I will of been to, but this time I shall finally be in my own 200, and on the track.. dam I bet I am going to be sooo embarrassed by my own driving!
Si.

110 is seriously loud
I recall Jolly being ~99dB
Just have to see i guess...
Are they any stricter with the enforcing of it? The guy told me that if the manager can hear it in his office, he'll come out and test. Does he have his window slightly open now? :p
That's right.
I didn't pick the available Sunday because the limit is 98dB!! None of us would get on!
Its 105dB Monday to Friday.

Bummer. Sorry, dude. :(
Cheers Nicley, feel a bit of an arse dropping out, and gutted too...
Got too many bits to fit according to my better half, if she had her way every single component on the car has to be replaced before we track it
What time are people going to be there till? I might pop over if I get my car back together in time :)
watching
:wack:
i know its :wack: but dont want to drive round the track as i have`nt had the car to long and dont fancy crashing it.
Nicely - I've had to move to being a second driver for Sorion... due to the fact that I won't be able to afford the new tyres I will need after this :(
He is sending you a cheque for £60, and my space is now available for someone else. Sorry to change plans on you :/
Nicely, does my 'additional driver' need to complete a declaration, or can it be completed on the day? :)
Sorry to hear that Wolfie. Honest ;)
I might be jumping the gun here, but it looks like I'm going to have to step up and entertain one and all again! I'll try not to spin this time and with a bit of luck, the car won't make any funny noises...

Yep, Rotaxmax125 and Algie are both on the main list.
PLEASE GET YOUR FORMS AND PAYMENT TO ME THIS WEEK!
I'm in Stirling for three weeks after Easter. If I haven't received payment by the end of this week, it gets very complicated for everyone on where to send payments.

Back to the topic!
Due to an unexpected change in work plans, I'm going to be in Stirling over the weekend of Haynes.
Jeff is going to be in charge of proceedings on the day. I'll still be doing the admin.

Does anyone know what time it starts and what they format will be?
Taken from the Dreamracers brochure.
Format Of The Day
The Haynes Motor Museum’s dedicated test track, has a maximum
lap of around 1km with asphalt surfacing. Over the course
of the day we will run three or four different layouts. At any
time, there will only be one car on track, ensuring that you get
the best experience possible, with the minimum risk of accidental
damage. Each run will be over 4, 8 or 12 laps, and numbers
will be kept low to ensure that everyone gets sufficient track
time.
The track will be open for two sessions, with a one hour break
for lunch.
09:45 Log In & Briefing
10:00 Track Opens—Session 1
13:00-14:00 Lunch
14:00 Track Opens—Session 2
16:30 Track Closes
The museum is closed shortly after the final track session finishes,
therefore the paddock area must be vacated by 16:45 at
the latest.
What Safety Equipment Do I Require?
Helmets are compulsory for driver and passenger. If you have any doubt
over its integrity, replace it. A good helmet could save your life and is a wise
investment. Your car must be in a safe condition, with working seatbelts, and
with no lose items in the cabin or luggage compartment. You do not need to
wear a race suit, but we do insist that your arms and legs are covered
What Documentation Must I Bring With Me?
• Your driving license
• Your cars current MOT certificate
• A signed copy of our “Declaration” (already completed)

• Your cars current MOT certificate
• A signed copy of our “Declaration” (already completed)

Either will do ;)
Moonhead - They never even asked last 2 times but I spose you'll know you're ok if you bring both :)
PS - IIRC there is a Shell station a little way down the A303 back towards Exeter. Just don't do what I did last time and try filling it right to the top  or what Algie did and forget to put the cap back on :wack: as we don't want more fuel on the course. :D

I'm not entirely sure on that one, I don't think dogs are strictly forbidden as such, but I don't think I'd take one - esp. a puppy to a trackday
What is it anyway? :wack:

Anybody bringing a camera?
yeah, I'll be spectating, so I'll bring mine. If anyone has a canon EF-fit zoom lens, then that would be really useful...

BBC reckons sunny intervals, and no mention of rain... You travelling down from Swindon?
