Revision

Anyone got any good tips for motivation for exam revision?

I is in the middle of my finals, have three to go, and cant really get motivated to revise. I need to do well, then i can get a good job, earn loads of money and get this s13 a bit more powerful :D

So any advice...... greatly appreciated

I'm in the same position, and I don't think there is an answer :( . Either you're the type of person who can force yourself to work, or who can't. I can't. But on the bright side, there's always resits... :eek: and what's an extra six months of suffering, student poverty, and feeling like a d!ck 'cos all of your mates have passed and you f*cked it up...?

Get yourself down the library, it's amazing how interesting cleaning suddenly becomes when revision needs doing!

I also found that revising in groups can be quite helpful to a point, you will all force each other to work. Then you can get the boozer and reward yourselves later!

Yep, revising in a group was the way to go for me. Makes it much less boring and you can get your clever mates to tell you how to do everything.

When I was revising I listened to a lot of elevator music, that way I would have the motivation to revise safe in the knowledge that I would be forced to listen to that shyte for the rest of my life in a supermarket if I failed!

There is a growing school of thought that suggests certain types of music and BPM structures harmonize your alpha waves, enabling info to sink in faster.
I've heard Baroque is good for this - think Floyd probably is too - anything with long rhythm and wave signature I would imagine.

Wear a certain aftershave while revising. Then wear the same atyour exam. Smells have been shown to trigger memory responce...

Was all going well this morning as well. I got up for 8:30 was gonna start at nine, had the three s's, went back to my room and you know how it is, your cold, still tired, theres a lovely nice warm double bed in front of you.........

I got up at 1:30, (just in time to make a bacon sarni and watch neighbours :D )

****e, its 2:30, best get back to it. (Might have a quick kip first though ;) )
