Music linked to dangerous driving

Studies suggest that listening to fast or loud music increases the likelihood of dangerous driving. Research in Israel discovered that drivers listening to fast music were twice as likely to be involved in an accident or commit road traffic offences. They also noticed that music volume has a significant effect on driving. By monitoring the way the body reacted to music, it was clear that music acted as a physical distraction to the driver.
The AA recommends that music should be played at a volume where it doesn't "stop you thinking about your driving." They haven't made any recommendations about what kind of music you should be listening to yet, but we suspect that your insurer might be happier for you to be listening to Prokofiev than Prodigy!

Basically don't: Speed, Eat when driving, use a Mobile phone, Smoke a Ciggarette, Fart, Talk to Passengers, Drive a V8, listening to Music, Enjoy yourself in any slight way

If necessary I'll take my car to track days and ride a motorbike the rest of the time, course driving will still be fun :)

They needed to do research to find that out? I've known that for years... Or am I just a genius?

this study was conducted in Isreal?!!!

surely they have bigger concerns... maybe
a) suicide bombers.
b) general malarkey of tanks.
c) 11 year olds kitted out with gatling guns.

but at least i could pass through knowing the likelyhood of me being ploughed into by a dune buggy listening to K0Rn is now slightly less than it was.....

hmmmm

I find aggressive tunes relaxing, it's the soft subtle ones like Chopin that make me feel calm, distracted and wanting to kill someone.. do I need help?!

There's always one...
Unless the sublte ones are higher BPMs, which is possible

Try driving to Thunder&Lightening by Thin Lizzy back to back with Shine On You Crazy Diamond by the all-conquering Pink Floyd.
I did - Oops!!!

I find a bit of Vaughan Williams is quite nice as a background when I'm murdering hitchhikers.
