No, doesn't have to be based on your partner at all... But after a rigourous try before you buy selection scheme I came upon exactly the right combination, and have been with her for nearly 8 years :D :D

My other reasons are that she works out every day and used to be well into gymnastics... She has practically got a 6 pack :)
