Help, anyone here a Linux Guru?!

I have a Squid Cache server that has gone down, I am running fsck on the partition that says it was not cleanly mounted, but it is appearing to halt on pass1.. which isn't a good thing at all!

Anyone know how I can get it to restore the volume status without fsck, or give me an idea of how long it should take?

The entire of an 1000+ user site goes through this beastie!!!

And I am a Microsoft monkey with the Liknux/Unix guy being on a course.... dammit...

Panic gone..!! :D

Managed to sort it out in the end by going through some of the heinous text based help files, was able to unmount the drive and remount it, then performed the scan and then did a full restart. Problem solved :D

I think I'll have to put Linux on my CV.... NOT!!!!

I know lots about squid, it's kinda my job.
Have just got a 5 server (3 Squid, 2 Load Balancer) squid cluster to work. :)

Don't you hate it when everyone else fooks off and it all goes sh!t shaped. :D
