View Full Version : Drifting North wales / North west?
Does anyone know any cheap locations that run track days / drift practise in the north west / north wales, as me and a mate both have rwd cars now and want to get into drifting but most of the track days i find are £100+, so i was wondering if anyone knew ne locations / events coming up that would be cheaper,
There are a few folks out there looking for something similar, but the venues, planning rules and noise regs are preventing most attempts.
noise regs are somthing that are annoying me... most tracks have a db limit of about 100db yet at most modifyed car places they have contests that go well over 100db on there ice... but if its tyres and eng's making the nosie its bad :(

I know what your on about ste00 me and my friend (who's running a skyline gts) have been searching for events as well. It seems that everything is going on down south at the moment, I would be good if something started up in the north west
All I can say is I know things are going to happen this year in the North West for Drifting, a major tuning company is in the process of putting together some drifting events in and around the North West! Once details are fully known they will be released dates and venues. :)
Keep a watch out here and on www.driftworks.com/forum
cant wait :D (well i can cause i have just found out my main car wont tow the sx...)

try llandow with www.carlimits.com Andy will let you drift on one of his training days
why not speak to Aintree Racing Drivers School who run both the Aintree Sprint track inside the horse racing track nr Liverpool (held british GP there in the '50's) or even better the Three Sisters Kart and Sprint track at Wigan which they also run. Its ace and would be fun for drifting, lots corners, quite tight infield but quickish straights and elevation changes too. May need to hire the track, so may need a few people, but worth a phone call i suspect.

the drift federation are in talks with three sisters and will let you know when something is happening at the moment we are testing the track and evaluating the noise issues
